Very nice concrete tees pads for both short and long tees on all 18 holes. Very easy to navigate even on a first time. A versatile course with available expansion area, not a one throw fits all course.-Nothing really stood out or made it especially memorable for me. AKA no "signature" holes. I wouldn't say this is a technical course nor a bomber course. No water, but out of the fairway, some very tall bushes and grasses. First time playing the course since all the updates have gone in. The amount of work that has gone in is quite impressive. Course is relatively flat but uses what little elevation the land had to offer in very creative ways. Remains dry even after scattered storms for a few days. Offers tight fairways, open bombs, and a little of everything in between. Snag as many birdies as you can through the front because as you warm up so does the difficulty of this course. It flows nice with only one or two longer walks between holes. I think I saw tee signs slowly going up tonight which will make the blind shots much easier to navigate.

Only complaints I have, and its nitpicking at this point, is that the rough is still quite rough. At times the surrounding areas can be waist high. Most of this will break down as the course is played so its not much of a complaint as it is an observation. I would stray away from greens and yellows when throwing any distance as I had to do some searching more than once tonight for discs just off the fairway. The only other complaint I have is that the mosquitos and other annoying insects can be quite a bother at times. I had to call it early last week because I forgot my bug spray and was being eaten alive. If you make the trip out, and you definitely should, bring some bug repellant or a thermacell.

Overall, this is an excellent course in a very easy to get to location.

I played there today and liked it very much. As of today there were about 14 of the 18 holes with the tee pads in.....pro and amateur pads for each hole! I'm really not that good of a player and it was pretty easy to get 4's from the pro tees. The pads are awesome...about 6' x 12' so, no skimping on size. The baskets are very nice and brand spankin' new. Bright and easy to see. HINT: Since there is currently NO SIGNAGE, someone has drawn a small arrow on each basket pointing toward the next tee. ...

This was very helpful. Most baskets can be seen from the am tees but about 1/2 are not visible from the pro tees.

I will be going there a lot since I prefer short wooded courses to long open courses. My 62 year old arm isn't what it used to be!

WARNING: If you are looking for a place to throw loooooong, this won't be your cuppa tea.

BTW...It is very easy course to get to. Go to the Courtland Township Offices at 7450 14 Mile Rd NE,
Rockford, Michigan 49341. Turn into the west entrance, then turn right into the gravel parking lot and drive to the very end of the lot. The 1st tee is at the end of the gravel lot and to the left.

Update: my disc was returned!! I played here again and really like it more then before. Like others have said the navigation is really good and you can kill 18 in not even 2 hours if you don't lose discs much. nice course, some holes are really tight. I like the holes for sure, nice changeup. There's lots of tall brush and what not to really lose discs in all over this course. Its a tough course for sure. Once all the holes are in and signage is up it will be A+. I live 15 mins away so I'm ...

nice course, some holes are really tight. I like the holes for sure, nice changeup. There's lots of tall brush and what not to really lose discs in all over this course. Its a tough course for sure. Once all the holes are in and signage is up it will be A+. I live 15 mins away so I'm gonna start playing here a few days a week. Also, I lost a discraft buzzz that is neon green with a fractal and hyzers disc logo on it on hole 12. It has my phone # on it, if found I will give a reward if needed to get it back.
