Canoe Creek State Park

This is a decent course in an area of PA that doesn't have many courses. Pro's: the park it's in is attractive and well-maintained, with bathrooms and water fountains; there aren't TOO many conflicts between disc golf and other uses of the park; it's got two rubber tee pads for each of the 9 holes, giving you a choice and/or a slightly different look if you want to play the course twice (although on some holes there's not MUCH difference); there is a mix of fairly open holes and fairly woode ...

Pro's: the park it's in is attractive and well-maintained, with bathrooms and water fountains; there aren't TOO many conflicts between disc golf and other uses of the park; it's got two rubber tee pads for each of the 9 holes, giving you a choice and/or a slightly different look if you want to play the course twice (although on some holes there's not MUCH difference); there is a mix of fairly open holes and fairly wooded holes, some more challenging and some fairly easy, some variety in terms of length; the baskets are good and the signage is helpful.

Con's: there is little elevation change; the open holes aren't that interesting; and the course can get rather soggy and muddy after a rain. Overall, I'm glad it exists and I will continue to play it regularly, even though it's not the most challenging or memorable course.

Nice course for all skill levels. Has a great variety of challenges with obstacles, trees, woods, pines, open fields, dog legs, etc. If you have a shot that goes in the high grass areas, watch closely where it goes! They could cut these areas a little more to make it more player friendly, but they keep the enviorment and natural habitat in mind. If you have bad reactions to poison oak and ivy, please beware!!! Especially near pine trees... Wear pants and keep alcohol wipes/hand sanitizer/rubb ...

Especially near pine trees... Wear pants and keep alcohol wipes/hand sanitizer/rubbing alcohol with you incase you have a run in with this. Also be sure to clean your discs after play here due to this, and if you need to use the bathroom, watch wear you are touching... That could cause a very itchy, irritating issue in a sensitive and horrible place to get a dose of poison in.
Other than the poison, its a great course! Have fun and please be cautious of the wildlife. PLEASE PICKUP TRASH IF YOU SEE IT, AND DESPOSE OF YOURS PROPERLY! KEEP OUR COURSES CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL!!!!
