i am ok with the short holes, i do not care for the holes being packed so close together. no trash cans not that i needed one. i would play the course again, but never in a tournament or league to dangerous for fear of hitting somebody walking. the flow was off, trying to figure out where to go after each hole. clean course and fun like 15 ace runs if you don't mind it being 12 baskets with 24 tees.

heres the thing, it is what it is... this is a great park, a nice setting close to home for us east-siders. its not the worlds most challenging course, but the park is kept nice and i enjoy playing here leisurely. dont turn your nose up to this place just because you can bomb over every hole. imo, most "upper tier" players, are far too snobby to play here because its so simple... its good to play a course like this once in a while to keep your self in check. its a fun, clean, and well managed course, and its quick. check it out once for your self.

Could use a little better signage. Flow is not great, but it was a challenge to fit 24 holes into this multi-use community park. Good course to work on short game if you lived near there.

Good place to take a beginner to show the game. All short or shorter holes and pretty much wide open allows you large margin for error. Walking path with people constantly walking it going through course make things slow and dangerous. Good place to practice short distance build confidence or to bang an ace on any hole there.

one of my favorite courses. Definately a morale boosting course. mid range city. play here to work on your mid's. very few trees, only 1 long hole(#5)

This is a great course for someone like myself whose more concerned with learning proper form and finesse than bombing every hole. Sure it doesn't have the best layout but they definitely did a good job with what they have. As far as the "walkers" are concerned I never really had a problem with them I just use common courtesy and get it in return:). The park is close to home so that is a plus. I am here almost every day with my g/f ( she just started playing) getting in a quick 9-12 holes before work. It would be great to have more options on this side of town but I will take what I can get:)

Simple course, tons of aceable holes. Very beginner friendly, right by the highway so lots of road noise, and short teepads. UTILIZE UDISC to figure out where the holes are, very confusing layout.

Clear marked teepads with sign and distance. Short holes, but long walk to play the couse. altenate pin postions would make this course much more interesting. bring your putter

Good course for the space that was available. Shorter, with two tee pads for every basket. Plays through a park, so there is some waiting for walkers to pass by. Great if you live close. Really interesting bag hangers on some holes, a great granite signs. Also nice that it's near Spindler, so if you are driving out to Spindler and have time for two courses this is only a couple miles away.

Pros: Disc golf on the east side. The majority of holes are open and under 250 feet, making this a good course for beginning players and players that would like to practice approach and putting. At most this is a 90 minute course, making it ideal for a lunch break or for busy folk.
Cons: The course is shared with walking paths, soccer fields, and a dog park. This can make certain holes, especially 5 and 17 (which I recommend skipping), difficult or even dangerous to play. At times, certain ho ...

lots of walkers around 9am but by 10 there were only a few left, Never really in the way anyway.

Great beginner course to work on mechanics, and learn how your discs react.

Short, simple, easy. Excellent for putt and approach mastery. Clearly marked and layed out. A little muddy on a tee or two, as well as a couple of greens but nothing a yard of mulch wouldn't cure. Good course for shooting your discs more than looking for them.

Cool little pitch and putt course with 24 holes and ace runs galore. Only 3 real drives on the course over or around 300' which play kinda tough because of fear of ending up in somebody's backyard or going over the I-94 wall. Throwing putters off the tee on all but maybe 5 holes. Great course to learn your slow discs. My jawbreaker Zone was my main disc off the tee, straight up birdie machine. Made the best out of the land available, not many trees but just enough to shape shots. Course typ ...

Great course for beginners/moderate players. Minicuci (the Don of Detrot Disc) certainly made the most out of this city course. A couple long holes with unique hazards but mostly short.

course is jam packed into that little course. cool little course to boost your confidence in your short game. tooooo many walkers had to wait a while for walkers to clear the area to throw. I would probably rate it higher if it weren't for that.

nice course to practice teepads on the walking track. had to keep stopping and wait for walked to get out of way. Only 12 baskets with several holes shooting to the same basket. kinda confusing to navigate

I rate it this high because for the amount of space they did a hell of a job! Thanks John

Nice course to practice your short game, but too much waiting due to the interlaced walking path.

It is what it is. A small course in a small park. Something good for practice or a quick round. Wouldn't frequent it.

awesome small course, walk from 8 to 9 not easy to find

Incredibly bland and boring but at least it is a course. The mammoth layout Nick and company made up is amazing though. I wish it was the regular course.

Brys is a putting and approach course for sure. No difficult holes and all are less than 250 feet except a couple of them. Mostly open, very few elevation changes and the changes are slight at best. 12 baskets and 23 tees, all concrete or asphalt.
The reason I gave the course a B- is because Saint Clair Shores did the best with the space they had and we now have disc golf on the east side! The course stays clean and all holes are clearly marked. Some tees are on the jogging path and the ...

Personally never play here. Don't like playing with stuff interfering with the flow of the game. Been to plenty of courses with paths along and throughout the course but never intergrated into the course. Usually pretty clean. Does ok for layout, flat terrain beside for tiny hill.

Nothing really special. Decent layout and very well maintained. Holes along the walking path are a little frustrating to deal with at busy times.

This was a park first, a disc golf course second... With that in mind, they've done a terrific job with what they had to work with. Not many long holes, but a cpl give you the chance to let loose.
There is almost no chance of losing a disc, no real hazards. There are a lot of walkers but a simple heads up, and they are very respectful. Give respect get respect. The course is very clean and very well kept up.
I have nothing bad to say about this course what so ever. Just keep in mind that it was in fact a park first, before it ever was a disc golf course! Great fun!

Good mid range practice course, a few good drives mostly approach shots

We are judging this course on its merits of being a disc golf course, and its subpar at best. There is no such thing as getting a boosted grade for being close to Detroit, or it used to be a regular park first, or the short holes are great for beginners.

Not a true 24 holes. 12 holes w/ double tee pads that are about the same distance. Good for beginning to intermediate players looking to work on their short to mid-range game.
Biggest downside is the amount of foot traffic on the paths, may have to wait a few minutes so you don't hit any walkers, but the course is always kept up very well, and the houses next to the course have an agreement with The Disc Store if you should lose one over the fence.

Walkers can be a nuisance, but the course is well designed for what it is. Space is limited and shooting close to the highway can be harrowing. All in all, Brys is a good place to do some tune-up work, but for god's sake, please put in a practice basket on flat ground close to Hole 1!

The tee pad markers here are some of the most amazing stone markers I’ve ever seen. Very well done. The course is pretty compacted. 24 holes squeezed in a park with baseball fields and dog areas. Pretty confusing layout, but once figured out it was a good place to work on short game and stretch out your mid ranges. Maybe fairway drivers.

Great local park. Easy to play with really only one long hole. Have to watch for the walkers but otherwise no issues. Only have played the 1st 12 here.
-1 votes Jeff Chastain › June 24, 2018
With just enough space for a 9 hole course, 24 is ridiculous. Everyone getting in each other's way due to the same baskets being used for multiple holes. On top of all that, good luck trying to find the next hole without arrows. Never did find hole #8.

If it wasn't for the walkers this place would be perfect for tuning up your game.
-1 votes Nick O'Keefe › March 25, 2024
Short, open, and boring. And it’s not uncommon to spend half your round waiting on walkers to pass.
-3 votes bob turner › December 20, 2011
I really like the granite spiers for tee signs. This is deffinetly a one disc challenge type of course. Hardley any traffic other than people using the walking path.

Didnt care for the course. super sketchy with it next to the houses and freeway. dont think ill be going there very often. tee pads were way to small felt unconfortable.
-4 votes Alex Wigand › October 2, 2012
The park is decent enough and the baskets are pretty nice, as well as the posts at each hole, but the layout is awful. There is a running path that goes through every single hole. You will spend the whole day trying to avoid hitting runners and joggers. All the holes are SUPER short too. You're better off making a drive to a better course.

No room to play...people walking on path with kids and babys playing on the course. Tees on the path !! I guess if its in your neighborhood, good for practice, but not a good game course. And the walkers dont care about us playing....if they get hit it would be the golfers fault. Wont be back, to many real courses out there......Great for kids to learn the sport, while mommy loses weight walking on the path....
