A short, wooded and moderately technical state park course with multiple narrow lines and relatively tight fairways. The shaping of shots around first available trees is a must to stay out of the dense, thorny rough. This course is obviously easier in the non summer months. A clean and somewhat challenging course with long cement pads, good signage, a few benches and decent variety. No water hazards.

Long tee pads (Becareful of the holes in them), plays fast, challenging shot shapes, the rough is ultra bad with all of the thorns (They hurt alot...). Super tight fairways, with plenty of trees in the middle of them. Little elevation change, the course itself is pretty self explanatory when playing through. Took 3 players about 2 hours to play a single round. Also, the address is wrong on discgolfscene. It's by the Waterloo Rec Campgrounds, and it is right by the boat launches.

The state of affairs at Waterloo is looking up. Was that just a cool hole?

Good short track. Bugs were bad. Could use a little work off the fairways. The rough is very difficult in places to get into. The 500 footer is a really nice hole. They kinda packed in the 18 but there is a lot of room here to expand to 36 if the state park system was interested.

Good winter course, short somewhat technical shots test all throws. Teepads aren't very good but they have them. Good signage, state park facilities. Quick and easy great flow. Too much ivy to be played in spring/summer.

Thanks for another pitch and put. Wow the land there is great but seriously the layout is weak. average hole is 220 feet. Great ace race course. I'm sorry if you are the designer or you love this course but it could be a lot better just by placing some of the pins a bit further out. I was bored on the front nine as most were righty hyzers. Pads are great. Great course for beginers but low difficulty.

spotless no garbage little casuals tight lines, thick shrub on side of fairways makes it kinda touchy with a good mixture in the distances but good mid course with a couple more long holes and scorecards could of been rated a little higher

Good, fairly technical course with excellent signage. Never needed a map. Not sure why several holes are marked par 2 though (over 200 feet with tight tree fairways...hmmm). Unfortunately, unless you love poison ivy, stay away until early spring or later fall. Course is loaded. It's gonna be a long night!

Definitely a beginner friendly course, if you want to work on your control and midrange shots this course will challenge you with that. Average hole is 250ft. Nice course for the amount of land that was given.

Target shooting course, great for learning control and accuracy, only one hole over 500, lots of trees in play.

Short technical course, was nearly empty when I played. Good practice shaping shots.

Well maintained, wooded with some open huge shots, huge tunnel shots and a mixture of FH and BH. Hyzer Flips and Flicks, Turn Overs too. Only played here a few times but eager to find new ways to score. I expect that one might find both bad and great rounds in these woods and too me that’s what it’s all about. Craft your middy game. A great challenge.

This place changes big time with the seasons and I love it . Fair holes, nice variety, and overall fun to play.

Short, wooded course with concrete pads (except 9), signage and baskets. Great course for shaping lines and working midrange and approach game. The front 9 is more enjoyable then the back 9, too many repetitive holes on the back. Challenging in the summer when trees are in full bloom and underbrush is lush. Great place to get a quick round in or two.
*Side note, buy the Recreation Pass when you renew your license plate for $10/year. Sure beats paying $6.00 each time for the day pass.

Fun course. Mostly shorter holes but variety throughout. Very similar to Newaygo State Park Course. One of my new favs since moving to the Jackson, MI area.

Technical, but not as short as advertised. Great for spring or fall. Thorns off most fairways so might not come here in the summer. Loved it.

Concrete tee pads and Chainstar baskets. Wooded course. Rough get bad in the summer so prepare for poison ivy and mosquitoes(Common in MI). State pass required for entry or daily fee. Disc golf is free to play

Fun little short course, just needs the rough hit with a brush hog every so often because right now your disc disappears.

nice maintained fairways but the ruff is extra ruff.

Short wooded course. Have to hit your lines. Was a fun round.

Don't like the tee pads with the holes in them to trip over, and didn't notice the yellow fault line BEHIND THE HOLES on some of the pads until the later holes, which was after I already fell down once, twisting my ankle. Overall, though, I did like this course, and will play here again. Good signs, and decent flow. Need more trash cans, though.

I'm giving this course an A because it's my kind of course. Mostly mid-range (Buzzz) drives, this is a short highly wooded course. Not hard to get some really good scores, I think I had -4 playing for the first time and throwing more than a couple blind (even though they were only 220 - 260 ft shots. Pads were amazing, extra long, roughed up cement for traction, with the basket number painted on them. Great signage and free scorecards, but I did need a park sticker to get into the park. ...

I love the course at Grass Lake, all of the holes are fairly short, but seeing that it is placed in the woods, it is quite challenging with many narrow fairways. this is one course where your putting game had better be on!

Anyone who rates this course anything less is probably a horribly inaccurate player. The course is very narrow, most holes are no more than 30 feet wide, but every hole is basically a challenging ace run. Except on Hole 11, which is roughly 22 feet wide and 510 feet long. That one was kind of dumb.

Course looks good. Beautiful day...sun was shining. Lots of leaf piles to lose your discs in so be careful out there. Lost a sidewinder on hole 2 a while ago that I'd like to get back.

This is one of my favorite courses, but OMG, the mosquitoes are SO BAD this year. You seriously will need a half bottle of bug spray to play here June-August. I would recommend long pants, long sleeves, and a head net. It's that bad.

My boyfriend and I loved this course. Course was well maintained, not many mosquitoes, easy to follow, and everything was mapped out well. It was a good challenge, yet obtainable goals. I am a beginner and I did not get too frustrated. Was able to find my discs easily. The only thing I would change is the tee box maintenance. They just need to be updated. We will definitely go there again. I will also be recommending this course to others.

It is a sweet course during the fall and spring. Summer kind of sucks. The bugs and poison ivy are horrible. So bad, I go maybe, twice all summer. The park said they are working n the bugs though.

I love this course, but I am 1. A nature /tree lover, and 2. Tight wooded technical course fan.. I am in disbelief that this ranks lower than Ella Sharp. The latter was a huge disappointment, and this is a refreshing surprise. Very beautiful, and great for players who like a challenge, as opposed to open drives. Very happy I drove out here to check it out.
