An extremely challenging 18 hole championship destination course that winds through a mature forest. Scenic views and rock walls on the beautiful landscape. An exhausting hike but worth every step. Plays from shorts (10 short pads) and longs. The superb design has great variety. Several tight and technical long wooded fairways with shot selection, shaping and placement required. Good mix of tunnel, dog leg, blind and bomber shots. Some other holes are placed through lightly wooded valleys. Hole ...

I never thought I'd drive to, and play, and review an unfinished 13 hole course but I did. This course, so far, is an amazing championship level course, that is not for the faint of heart or out of shape players. Much of it is in older growth forest with elevation changes and some rock walls reminding me of the east coast courses the pro's play on. And the open holes are reminiscent of tobaggon or flip city.SICK - SICK - SICK! 650' par 4's with hills and valleys and tons of giant trees with ti ...

Love the direction this course is headed. A truly challenging course with some good views. Has elevation, great baskets, nice teepads, and demanding holes. Excited to see what the next holes will look like

Absolutely love this place the full 18 is in and playing awesome
It’s super nice to have professional gold course and it’s not only suitable for the pro player but also fair for the advanced amateur player Thank you to the people that put in the work to make this possible for us

Will easily be the best layout in the area when finished. Holes 3/13 (13 hole layout) need some work to make them play appropriately to their par, but could easily be accomplished with some more clearing on 3 and maybe a shorter basket placement for 13 (the basket placement is cool but the hole plays realistically as a par 6).
New holes are excellent and 1/2 are great starting holes for a layout. Excited for it to be finished. Nice to finally have a place to play that offers a style of golf eq ...

Very challenging and beautiful. Placement of your shot was key on the long ones. I enjoyed this course a lot. Great job on this course guys.

Wow. Bring your A game for this A level course. One of the first courses where I respect the course par.

Even though I’m not a fan of walking up and down hills....I Loved it

FINALLY A COURSE IN OUR AREA THAT INTEGRATES BOMBS AND PLACEMENT! It will eat up the rookies and pros. Tough tight fairways so placement is key! Enjoyed it for it being in soo soon. Excited for the next 27 holes! Thank you!!

Updated from an A- now that it is complete. This course divides the boys from the men. Every single aspect of your game will be tested. Tons of chances to open up and throw big but miss your line and you will pay...BIG. Getting pars out here actually feels good. This should be a destination course for anyone that thinks they got game. Won't be surprised if this is a future DGPT course.

Can not wait to see the rest of this course. The first 10 holes are way to much fun

A stunning and challenging new course. The first tee is accessed from plentiful, paved parking and includes a couple of practice baskets. After that it's into the woods with LOTS of trees and elevations. The amateur and pro tees are well marked. I’m looking forward to the new holes and maybe a few benches or tables. This has quickly become one of my favorite courses.

I’d firstly like to thank the gang that is doing the amazing work out here. I only went A- because the courses aren’t complete. when all the 36 holes are done it will be the premiere course in Michigan. 15 minutes from my house! what a blessing. Signage, benches, thoughtful hole design, its all top notch. I cannot wait for spring and more holes to arrive. In the meantime hit me up if you want to throw a round, let try for the elusive 4 on 13 ????
The longs are professional level design, and even the few short tee pads remain a challenge. looking forward to a tournament here!!!

Beautiful, challenging, and exhausting! We are lucky to have amazing people building a course like this in our back yard. Thanks JM and crew!

Course is awesome with the full 18 and well cared for with a labor of love to clear out the brush; it makes it both challenging and playable to various levels. Pro tees are no joke. Am tees are fun and challenging for all.

Beatiful and challenging course. The elevation, length and tight forest shots will test your placement, distance, and stamina. Some of the greens and fairways are still new but as the course matures I am sure they will shape up nicely. Can't wait for the next 9 holes.

This course is already great and has the potential to be the best course in Michigan! Once it has 18 holes I can see it being Michigan's version of Idlewild, with long wooded fairways, some open bomber holes, all mixed with good elevation.

Course was not bad. Still could use some clearing of stumps. Distance between holes was a hike and hilly. Hole 9 is for the strong arm but be accurate or you will end up in the water. Overall holes were nice to play.

Great course so far! Can’t wait for the rest of the holes to be added, especially if they keep with the flow of the first 9. Only annoyance is traveling with a cart is a little tough.

2022: This course is still stuck in 13 hole mode, but don't be fooled, these thirteen holes will keep you busy. The only course in the Detroit Metro area that has down/up fairways, with tee shot crossing a valley to the basket on the opposite side. One hole (I think its the ninth) actually goes down/up/down. The eleventh is the nastiest "fish-hook" fairway in the region. I am a big fan, but there is some deep roughage and blind looks that will have you beating the brush on an errant throw.

Updated my grade from a B to A-. Played today, first time with all 18 in. I'll stand by my previous review. High level, long throwers will absolutely love this course. Extremely demanding. Lower level, short throwers simply won't have enough fun to play on a regular basis.
Review when it was a 13 hole course.
(Played this course from the longs and checked out the short tees. From a high level players perspective, which I'm not, this is an excellent course. Really tough shots. G ...

Thanks John, Krystal and Shaun. You guys did a phenomenal job on this course and deserve all the credit you can get. I really, really enjoyed playing this layout and am naturally very excited about what's still to come! I was pretty happy to take a 6 on hole 13, lol.

Offers a challenge on every hole, love the layout! Best teepad, signage, garbage can and bench almost on every hole! Fantastic.

This is by far the hardest course I've played... the first time I've ever thought about hanging up my bag was here on hole 13

For a heavily wooded course, the par fours and fives are a bit too long. None where reachable in regulation. Fun factor low.

Great course thus far but still incomplete. For the people whining that the holes are too long, I’m a sub-300 thrower and sub-900 rated player and have birdied 6/13 holes there from the short tees, so maybe those people are actually mad that they can’t hit challenging lines. There are no unfair lines or distances here, just a challenging round. If shooting under par at an easy course is what you prefer, you have numerous alternatives in the area. Don’t hate on the course design for trying ...

Most challenging, elevation changing wooded course around not named Toboggan. Loved the challenge of finding a line. Got to know many trees, lol. And then lucked into 3 good shots in a row for tap in birdie on 18! Cant wait to come back

I'm here to back the Pugh about the tee pads. Seems like for such a large project they would simply do better.

Only complaint is the pars are a little sadistic at times. Otherwise an incredible course and really tough hike (in a good way). I'm in my mid-30s and I bring 2 large Gatorades for a single round -- and I definitely use 'em. There are only a few spots where you might have to search for a disc for longer than a couple minutes. The only other things keeping this from an A+ are a lack of drinking water and a lack of hole maps (but they have detailed drone flyovers with commentary on youtube for your first visit).

Shocked at the A votes! Biased? Maybe know the designer? That said, it has great potential. Obviously need perminant tee pads and to clear out some rough and a few trees. By no means is this suppose to be a "harsh" grade. I think the course has great potential! However, work needs to be done and it is currently only 9 holes (I hear more to come). I think C+ is a good grade for current state, but I have no doubt this grade will only go up as more work is done and additional holes are put in. Aga ...

The course is amazing and the T pads are awful except for a few you either have to step up onto or step down into to try and throw 400+500+ feet. And most are to small for such large Holes. I give it a C+ only because of the tee pads
