Bald Mountain workdays ...
With the pending rain tomorrow (Saturday, April 22, 2023) we are going to attempt to work from 10 am - 1 pm. We will pick back up on Sunday (April 24, 2023) from 11 am for as long as we can go. Bring a pair of gloves if you can assist. We will be focused on the blue highlighted "Work Area" in the image found here: https://www.discgolfscene.com/profile/1445/pictures/album_18194/374757#374757
There is a small parking lot just north of future tee pad 11 a short walk away.

Do we know when the last few holes will be finished?

John Minicuci   April 11, 2023 at 8:14pm

We do not. Along with my wife, we have been out there working on a couple of the new holes. All but 2 of the tee pads have been poured. The basket locations are set. Signage and benches are close to being finished and the summer staff should be hired soon. We might try to get some work days out there soon when the gate opens.

Sweet! Thanks for the update John!

Fall 2018, 18 holes were to be completed. Fall 2019, 36 holes were to be finished. Why aren’t these done yet?

What is the reason for these courses not getting finished? I mean, not having one of them done years later is kinda ridiculous.

I left an orange Hades behind on hole 9 at the top of the hill on the right side

Is this place still just 13holes?
Just curious if they are ever going to finish at least 18 of the 36 proposed holes???

I’m guessing that finances or a lack of labor is holding things up. Hawthorne, for one example, has been built from the ground up since these 13 holes were put in, but you also had a local club putting in the work to make that happen.

Chris Thomas   May 15, 2022 at 12:11am

Ya, makes sense. I’ve always wondered why they say that power tools can’t be used too. Maybe state park and wildlife…?

Eric Francis   June 4, 2022 at 12:14pm

It's a real nice course I hope they finish it

And a lot of them

Scott H   August 28, 2021 at 9:14pm

Just finished a round, the skeeters weren't too bad after some deep woods off but the gnats were incredibly bad on the woods holes.

Chris Thomas    August 19, 2021 at 5:16pm

Are these courses ever going to get completed?

The park is interviewing people for the open position. Work is still ongoing. Silly BennyG!

Chris Shaw    August 9, 2021 at 1:39pm

I lost a white Westside king on hole two on the left side. It’s a Finnish stamp king. And it has my ink on it. I also lost a red Kahu on hole three off the right side no ink.

Lost light blue star Valkyrie on hole 13 80 or so feet short of basket left side. Shanked it early and it flared left- halfway into the rough or close to the edge of water, possibly even made the water. Nasty flare. Name and number on it.
