Corey Nufer December 17, 2012 at 8:12pm
Hey everyone! We here at Knollwood are trying to raise money for merchandise to sell for our cleanup and improvement efforts. Follow the link at the bottom of this message for a full description, a short video presentation, and the opportunity to either donate, or share my message with others.
I have just heard that the director of the City of Kalamazoo Parks department has resigned, so we have a new opportunity to truly change the image of Knollwood.

The following message was sent from the PDGA website to the players in Utah:
My name is Greg and I live in West Bountiful, Utah. I am trying to find someone to help me out. My friend and I started Frisbee golfing and love it. What I need help with is this. I have gotten a hold of a contact in Kaysville city that has some interest in adding a disc golf course on there 140 acre park. I am just a player and wanted someone with authority and experience that could help out examining the possibilitie ...

Thanks to everyone for coming to the City's Parks Symposium. I think it was definitely a success! We were by far the most numerous group for the entire event (counted about 20 DG supporters in total). I've been told by my sources that city officials were really impressed not only with our crowd but also how positive we were about collaborating with them.
UPDATE,
The way it looks, Jordan River Park will be off limits until next year and then only for about 11 acres. There are addit ...

I just wanted to make mention of an upcoming event in Idaho, the Southeast Idaho Invitational. It's a PDGA B-Tier event that encompasses two courses-Bengal Ridge in Pocatello and Freeman Park in Idaho Falls. I rate these courses 1 and 2 respectively as the best courses in Idaho. There are two rounds of 18 holes at Freeman Park on Saturday, Sept 22nd and 1 tee time round of Bengal Ridge on Sunday, Sept 23rd. It is well worth it! Casey has put together some great sponsorship and I know it wil ... more

URGENT UPDATE FOR EVERYBODY INTERESTED IN NEW DG OPPORTUNITIES IN SLC: Not sure what's going on in terms of tournaments on SEPT 22, but there is a public hearing at city hall about park projects for the City of Salt Lake (not County) that may be important to determine the chance of (a) new disc golf course(s) in city limits. See the schedule below, but we as a community should try to make a strong showing at that event (one in the morning and a repeat one in the afternoon). They will talk a ... more

Today is the last day to pre-register for the Brigham City Clash although there will be registration available the day of the event from 7:30am - 9:00am. It should be a nice and easy day in the park! We will have 6 mini holes set up that are part of the mini pot, but not part of your regular score. Mini pot is $5 and the winner will get a Innova DisCatcher Sport Basket!! CTP's are extra and ace pot is $2. All holes are at John Adams Park!! All registrants get a GSS Stamped DX Aviars. I think we still have Teebirds and Rocs left too.

Brian Head Tournament on Saturday July 14th. 27 holes, 18 at Brain Head, 9 more at Bear Flats CG. 9:30AM start Reg form groups, then up the lift. Very casual event, but should have a good payout.
The park land be hind the cotton bottom and Tuscany, any chance they are considering that area? I guess it is cottonwood. Parkland across freeway from Murray parkway? Sl county golf courses installing baskets is a good question!
Big cottonwood park and lion rec center would be best, keep em all near creekside!
That I think is county land. I'm focusing on Salt Lake City (N of about 3300 S). Someone should start initiating the discussion with the county parks (which includes Creekside). Things went well and I'm working on some design options for at least a temporary setup in the Rose Park area. Ci ... more

Things went well and I'm working on some design options for at least a temporary setup in the Rose Park area. City officials are very interested in supporting and we are working to get things accomplished very soon with various options. Will keep everybody posted when decisions are made.
Dude, that is awesome! Baskets installed at rose park ball golf course would also be cool. I would love to be involved with course design, or share some idea's on fairway "hazards"/"bunkers".
Great, thanks Cassidy, down the line the par 3 golf course at rose park may still be an option and the temporary course is likely further north, but I'm pushing hard to get the city to collaborate with us. If you can make it I'll show you what I designed for the Par 3 course for the future hopefully!
