Greetings Punderson Disc Golfers!
Punderson Disc Golf Club is excited to announce that Punderson Sanctioned League will return in 2024 on Tuesdays. Like last year, we’ll be hosting 3 separate sessions totaling 26 weeks.

Here is the breakdown:
-Spring: 10 weeks from April 9th to June 11th
-Summer: 10 weeks from June 18th to August 20th
-Fall: 6 weeks from August 27th to October 1st

Format: flex start, singles, maximum 5 players per group, minimum 3 players per group.

Punderson Disc Golf Club is excited to announce that Punderson Sanctioned League will return in 2024 on Tuesdays. Like last year, we’ll be hosting 3 separate sessions totaling 26 weeks.

Here is the breakdown:

Start Time: 5:00-5:30pm for the spring session
Payment: $10 to enter, PayPal only, optional $1 to Ace Pot
Breakdown: $7 to payouts, $3 to PayPal and league fees and Punderson course improvements.
Layouts: Varies week to week. We make use of the best that Punderson has to offer and mix it up quite a bit. We’ll be sticking to 2 “longs” rounds during the spring session.

With the growth of disc golf in the area and events filling up quicker than ever, this Diamond Level membership will give you an opportunity to claim your spot at our PDGA sanctioned events before registration opens to the public and will be LIMITED TO A TOTAL OF 25 SPOTS!!! So if you want to guarantee your chance to play in our events that typically sell out quickly, this is your chance. Also, rumor has it, Pun's Labyrinth X will be going to back to the original format for it's 10 year anniversary, with a limited field of 72 players. This Diamond Level Membership will get you a guaranteed spot before registration opens. For all events, those with a Diamond Level Membership will be given a 2 week window to register for events before the open to the public. Members will be contacted before pre-registration opens and closes to ensure they get a fair chance to take advantage of their membership.

All proceeds from membership sales will be used to cover additional insurance for our club that will help us run some new and unique events at the course for 2022, including a return to regular Glow Events and a few other surprises that will be announced this spring. Any remaining proceeds after the cost of insurance will go to raffle items that will be raffled off at the end of the season to the club members. This raffle will include a disc golf basket and disc golf bag, with other prizes to be determined based on total number of memberships sold.

There will also be a Club Membership Doubles Event (tentatively 4/16/22) where club members can come to get their items. This event will be a Random Draw A/B Doubles with a $5 or $10 entry, with 100% payouts to the field. More details to come on this in the near future.

Registration opens for Club Memberships on February 12th at 8 PM. Don't miss out if you want to one of those 25 Diamond Level Memberships!!

For Registration purposes, the different levels have been listed as follows:

Diamond Level -- Open (ONLY 25 TOTAL AVAILABLE!!!)

Gold Level -- Advanced

Silver Level -- Intermediate

We need to meet as a group to finalize a few things before that happens. But for now, expect registration for these three events ... more

Last Tournament of 2020!!!

We are just over two weeks away from the Labyrinth Lite* at Punderson. Come get some last minute 2020 PDGA ratings at Pundy with 2 rounds over 2 days to keep the majority of your weekend open. Cost has been kept low, as it's a Trophy Only event for Ams, but does feature a G.O.A.T. Towel for the player's pack, which retails at more than 1/2 of your entry fee!! We will be starting a new type of singles disc golf league for the month of May until we are cleared to begin normal Scrambles leagues at our local courses. NEO East Side Virtual Disc Golf League!!

We will be starting a new type of singles disc golf league for the month of May until we are cleared to begin normal Scrambles leagues at our local courses. Check out our league page and join if you are interested! League rules can be found in the description. If you are interested, join the league and schedule your rounds!! There is also a page on Facebook with the same name. All info and news will be handled at both sites, with scores managed on dgs.com

First league round begins next Friday, May 8th at Sims Park and will move to a different course for each of the other 3 weeks this is being done. Rounds will be allowed during a 4 day window each week, running Friday through Monday. Rounds must be played with cards of a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 4. There are strict rules for payment, scheduling of rounds, and score reporting that are explained on the league pages and must be followed to have an accepted score. This is open to all players, and all payments will for entry and weekly payouts will be handled on PayPal. So check it out and get out there on the course for some "virtual" competition!!

Hornets Nest Under Platform Gold 3 Tee

****CAUTION****

There is a HUGE hornets nest under the platform on the right side closest to the water. In the short term, please refrain from playing from it, as multiple people have been stung. They are very aggressive and seem to be agitated by any movement up or on the platform.

The park will be contacted and we will try to remedy the situation ASAP.

Punderson Work Day this coming weekend!!!

Punderson work day this Saturday...clearing fairways of sticks and picking up trash. Maybe even some light trimming in a few places. Please come out and lend a hand if you are able to. I'd like to do a 10 AM start. Lunch on me (pizza at Zeppe's) if you are willing to lend a hand. And if we get enough people and get done quick, we can throw some holes too.

Reminder, RT 87 is closed just west of the entrance to Punderson.

From the North you need to come down Bass Lake/Stone Road, or even 44 to 87.

From the South You can take Music Street to 44 then to 87.

Please be advised that beginning this week, Rt. 87 (Kinsman) will be closed just west of the main park entrance. An alternate route will be needed to get to the entrance.

The easiest route would be to come up 44 to State Rt. 87 and take a right (from the North) or left (from the South). The park entrance is about 1.5 miles down.

If you take Auburn Road to the park, please use the following alternate route:

Don't forget, the month of May is A/B Pool singles to establish handicaps. Then June-August will be a raw score payout then the Handicap payout. 90% of the average of your last 5 rounds!

Glow League for 2018?

I'd like to bring glow disc golf back to Punderson this summer. 4 nights...one monthly in June -- September. I'd also like to make this a scramble style league, with random draw, playing all 18 holes, with few alternate tees to ease the flow, like on holes 6, 15, and 18. Is there any interest in this before I start trying to figure out the schematics of getting this going?

2018 News!!1

Keep your eyes on the Punderson Disc Golf Club page...lot's in the works for 2018. First up will be a new league beginning towards the end of March...April's Fools. This will be similar in format to the infamous March Madness, and will have stroke erasers and mandos on the course for each hole. In no way is this replacing March Madness, it's just our alternate option for 2018, due to planning and other roadblocks. More news to come in the very near future on this and our tournament schedule!!

Saturday Scrambles

OK Disc golf community. We had a bit of a hiccup and our Saturday leagues didn't happen for a while. They started again back at the beginning of December, but we have had almost zero turnout. I showed up again this morning and played 9 holes by myself.

I will most likely NOT be there on Jan 6th. However, I'm trying to figure out if there is any interest in people playing this league anymore? Please let us know if you have any plans to attend these Saturday League days. We are also in need of a couple of more people to organize things each Saturday going forward.

OTHER INFO : - Each week, points are determined by the # of players present and your final score - Lowest score gets the most points - Points accumulate weekly - Bonus points will be rewarded for ; Getting an ace, or for doing something that benefits the players and/or league. - There will be targets on every hole that are called " Stroke Erasers " . If you hit the target with your disc , you erase 1 stroke , and then you have to play from where that shot landed - CTP at end of round will determine any and all ties - Each player will receive a numbered Bag Tag - Only players present will be eligible for the random tag draw - Bag Tags will be exchanged between players at the end of the round. Lowest score gets the lowest # tag. - Bragging rights go to the lowest # tag at the end of league - Weekly Ace fund payout will be a CTP, if no aces happen. - Of each entry fee, $ 1.00 to the course , $1.00 to the ace fund , and the rest goes to the top three finishers.

Our Saturday Scrambles are over for the year. We still have 6 weeks left of the NOH FUN fundraising league. ( hole round to raise money for the island raised platform tee. the foundation posts are in so we progressing quite nicely. Also Saturday will be the start of our Winter Handicap League (9 holes)

The Pine Lake Open is our fall event. It is a tournament that celebrates the BLUE tees. Also this will be our first tournament that we play the island hole. So that's 2 rounds of Blues to Long with island. PAR 70. Playing the island in a tournament is uncharted territory for us so expect early start times. We encourage camping. If there is enough interest We will get a group site. We think it will sell out, or close to it, and we did not expect that so we will keep it unsanctioned and low ... more

Scott Stokely Disc Golf Clinic

Disc golf Pro ' Scott Stokely ' will be at Punderson , on Sept.15th at 4:30pm , to hold a "FREE" disc golf clinic . This clinic is designed to give players, of all skill levels , useful tips about this game of disc golf. There will be a random draw scrambles after the event . Scott will be at the course at 3:30 to help players with special needs . The cost of the scrambles will be $12 ,

Extended Madness

Due to popular demand , March Disc'n' Madness Singles League , will be extended into the first 2 Saturdays of April, at 11am
Being that I gave all of my prizes away, during the month of March , this extended version of Madness won't have as many ways to win . Never fear , as there will be prizes , especially if players are willing to bring something to donate.

Ten Days Left to Register Online for Nightmare on Pine Lake

I'm trying really hard to make this an awesome event but I need the majority of registrations in by September 15th to get the t-shirts in time and a few other things.... 18 Holes in the ground!!

Have you heard? The Friends of Punderson Disc Golf Course has 18 baskets in the ground.
Six new holes have been started with basket installation. We are clearing our way back to the tees as time and the weather permit. The new holes are in their early stages of development, so please be patient with us as they get improved/completed and the maps and tee signs are developed.
