BAG TAGS ARE OPEN
We have all played by the rules. This message is to remind everyone that the tags are for fun and not to cause animosity towards one another. From now on players are to follow park rules where ever you are playing. The rounds should be played following PDGA rules(no playing from water). Rules are monitored by the group. Mud Turtle LIves
I would like to personally thank Anthony Chivers and MsTommie Huffman for stepping up and taking the responsibility of running Mud Turtle Disc Golf. I am 100% confident in this decision and hope that everyone in the club gives them their full support. Shutting down
Thank you to everyone that has been a part of Mud Turtle Disc Golf. This club was started with the sole mission to unite the scattered disc golf community and bring everyone together into one club. This is what I thought I accomplished, but what I have really seen is this club breaking up friendships over petty disagreements and animosity. Metal Tags
Mud Turtle has new tags and they are available immediately for members, new and old. You do not need your old tag to receive your new one, we know what number you have. The new tags are stamped aluminum, no more gel straps and no more flimsy lamination. We signed up 9 new members yesterday and have another 21 tags to distribute until we hit 100. Contact Chris Cordova or David Strom to get your tag.

Support Stumptown
This is a message addressing all Mud Turtles. I love this club and I appreciate everyones efforts in helping it grow. But, what I really want to talk about is Stumptown memberships. I cannot express how important I think it is to be a supporting member of Stumptown Disc Golf. The Clubhouse
We extended the teepad on six out another 2 feet giving us a ten foot tee pad. Thanks to Josh Motzkus for coming out to help and Saui for his physical help and huge cash donation. Tee pads cost about $50 each to make and we are wanting to put in another 2-3 soon. Any cash donations will be willfully accepted and will go directly towards the cost of new pads. League Reminder
Tonight is the first night of Friday Night Flights at Glenwood. Five dollars gets you in with payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. New League Night
Mud Turtle will be hosting a Friday night league at Glenwood Community Church starting Friday, February 19 at 4:00 pm sharp. This will be a $5 buy in with payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We will be playing 2 rounds or 18 holes. Please contact David Strom with any questions or concerns.

Gratitude
Thanks to all the guys that came out to help with the teepads, roy, saui, jared, dax and steve ellsworth. We put in teepads for holes 1 and 6 and they turned out awesome. Holes 2, 7, and 8 are next and I will be putting together a work party to complete these pads. All the brush and limbs have been cut back and have opened up some nice approaches, not accessible before yesterday. Any contributions, whether cash or personal time, would be greatly appreciated to complete the course.

Mud Turtle "Never Rich @ Leverich" CTP results
We had a CTP on Hole #9 and Steven Sands ended up approximately 5 feet from pin, winning the new KC Pro Roc. Nice work Steven.

Mud Turtle "Ace In Your Face"
Mud Turtle Disc Golf will be tracking all aces that occur during a Mud Turtle Tagged N Bagged match. The Player with the most aces by 12/31/2010 will receive a super sweet prize and will be awarded the "Ace In Your Face" trophy. So far we have:

Mud Turtle Disc Golf Rules!!!
!If you are going to start a club do it right. First day of official tags and we can claim two aces. I picked up first ace on hole 1 at Leverich, and 4 hours later Bill picks up the first ace at The Clubhouse. We played our first Doubles Tagged N Bagged match and Saui and Steeplechase took first, leaving Jason with #1 and Stephen with #2. Nice work guys! Mud Turtle Disc Golf Rules!!!!

Mud Turtle Disc Golf @ The Clubhouse
Mud Turtle Disc Golf is now up and running. I will have the logo posted on the page today and will be making our bag tags this afternoon. I need emails from all the guys that were invited and want in, you know who you are. There is an annual $5.00 fee to join and all money collected will go towards development. This fee will keep you current through January of 2011. I will be organizing a day tourney to celebrate the opening of "The Clubhouse" and the founding of "Mud Turtle Disc Golf" to happen very soon so get on it. Take care and most of all, cheers!
