Women's Global Event Hosted By The Chick Flick & The Women Of DGOD!

The Women's Global Event is back! This year two Portland based women's disc golf clubs, WOMEN of DGOD! and Chick Flick - NW Disc Golfing Women, are co-hosting the one day, two round event. The Women's Global Event is back! This year two Portland based women's disc golf clubs, WOMEN of DGOD! and Chick Flick - NW Disc Golfing Women, are co-hosting the one day, two round event. Entry in to this event is totally FREE! Players are responsible for the $4/person day use fee at Horning's Hideout on the day of the tournament.

How does it work?
On May 10th, women from all around the world will play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating Women's Global Event. Scores from the first two rounds of each participating tournament will be submitted by the individual tournament directors and rated by the PDGA. These round ratings will be totaled and averaged to determine the player's "Global Score." For the rounds to qualify, the event must include two rounds and have at least three ratings propagators playing on the same course layout each round for ratings to be calculated as accurately as possible. The Global Scores will be updated throughout the day to determine our Women’s Global Event Champions and the winner in each division will receive a memorable trophy. To sign up just follow the below link to our Facebook event page, and let us know what division you would like to play in, and your PDGA number if you have one. You do not have to be a PDGA member to play this even and non member fees are waived. This page is the official page for our event, and all information & news will be posted there.

Once you sign up, and have been added to our PDGA event page you will be eligible to reserve your player pack by following the below link. Player packs will be avalible to the first 600 ladies who sign up. Canyon & Highland Closed Durring Tournament 8/4 8/5

FYI the canyon course will be closed August 4th & 5th for the 2012 Chick Flick from 8:30am to 5pm, and will be open in the evenings both days. The Highland will be closed Saturday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm, and the Highland will be closed Saturday from 8am to 5pm. The Meadow Ridge course will be open all weekend.

Hey Chick Flickers and Caddies,
With the Chick Flick just a few days away we wanted to send an email to answer some questions we have received. Sorry this is wordy, but please take a second to read it. Also if you signed up for another player or caddie please pass this information along to them.

With the Chick Flick just a few days away we wanted to send an email to answer some questions we have received. Sorry this is wordy, but please take a second to read it. Also if you signed up for another player or caddie please pass this information along to them.

It's going to be HOT. Please bring a water bottle for your round. We will not have water bottles available. There will be some water available on the course but be prepared with the water you think you'll need as it tends to run out quickly during hot rounds. There are faucets available to fill your bottles before the round

Checking in for players/caddies/guests: Please check in when you arrive. Each player needs to check in herself in order to pick up their player pack Check in is at the big tent by the practice basket. You'll see it, don't worry. At check in you can pick up your player's pack, wristband for camping/lunches, purchase raffle tickets, and ask any questions you may have about the weekend.
Check in will be available Friday night from 5:30-7 PM, Saturday 8-8:45AM, and Sunday from 8-8:15 AM

Camping locations: General group camping is available below hole 14 on the canyon course. Quiet camping is located near hole 1 of the Meadow Ridge course. You must park your car and carry your gear to the spot (100-300ft) you can not drive into the camping area. Space is limited in the camping areas. Please place your tents as close as possible to other tents. Make a new friend if you arrive late and don't see an obvious spot.
EVERYONE IN THE GROUP CAMPING AREAS NEED TO HAVE A WRISTBAND. SEE TOURNAMENT CENTRAL FOR THIS.
Below is the schedule for the weekend. It will also be posted at tournament central. Please be on time for the players meeting Sunday morning and come to tournament central to sign up on a playing card. Keep in mind that the Sunday rounds are PDGA tournament rounds. This means that PDGA rules need to be followed on Sunday (we will go over these). This also means that in order to respect other player's concentration needs, young children and dogs are not allowed on the course. This is only during the Sunday rounds.

We will have schedules at tournament central. No need to memorize this.
