Welcome to Gateway Winter Wizards 2024; hosted by Play It Again Sports - Cuyahoga Falls and Wayward Circles Disc Golf.

Grab a partner and bring the magic for this spellbinding tournament. This will be a “Bring Your Own Partner” (BYOP) event with three divisions and two rounds. We'll be using the short tee pads for both rounds and playing a 21-hole layout, with three holes added to the existing short tees layout.

Players can ONLY use the Gateway Wizard putters provided in the Players Pack for EVERY throw in both rounds.

Each division will play 2 rounds, and the winning teams will receive a specially designed trophy disc.

Divisions and Payouts

Players must register as teams; $80 per team ($40 per player). Every player receives a Player Pack.

Thanks to Gateways Disc Sports and Play It Again Sports - Cuyahoga Falls, we’ll be rewarding teams with prize payouts for their efforts in the tournaments. The payout structure listed below is based on expected divisional percentages. The final payout structure will be determined based on the final divisional structure. Prize discs consist of a variety of Gateway Discs and assorted discs from Play It Again Sports - Cuyahoga Falls.

Prize discs are per person (each person on the team receives the prize listed below).

Serious: For those who MUST win

The only tiebreakers will be for 1st place and will be decided by CTP on hole #1 (short tee). All other ties will be broken as follows:

- Most Aces
- Most Birdies
- Least Bogeys (includes double, triple, etc.) bogeys

If this method doesn't separate teams from ties, a disc will be flipped (heads/tails).

Raffle and Fundraiser

The church, and its congregation, have blessed this area with an amazing disc golf course. This tournament is a chance to thank the church for all they have done to grow the sport. A portion of each entry fee, along with 100% of raffle ticket purchases, will be given to Johnson United Methodist Church to assist in their annual Mission Trip for youths and adults.

To encourage players to attend the wrap-up party, we will be having a silent raffle to win one of several prizes at the wrap-up party. Everyone who is registered for the tournament will receive ONE free ticket. We will have additional tickets for sale at Tournament Central during check-in with 100% of the proceeds from these tickets being given to the Johnson UMC Mission Trip Fundraiser.

YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. Tickets will be $1 each, or 6 for $5. No more than 6 tickets may be purchased by one person. Only one prize per person. A 6-pack of tickets may be purchased during registration. Individual and 6-pack of tickets may be purchased on the day of the tournament with cash.

Waitlist

Teams may sign up for the Waitlist with no payment due. As with every tournament, a portion of the current registered players will drop prior to the tournament; roughly 15-20% due to whatever life stuff comes up. When this happens, a new team (#1 & #2 Waitlist spots) will be moved in and given 48 hours to make payment (and the dropped team will receive a refund minus DGS fees). This continues until registration closes.

Registration closes on March 16th at 11:59pm. All Waitlisted players can choose to drop or hang on a few more days and see if there are any last-minute drops until March 21st at 11:59pm. If there are no players on the Waitlist after March 5th, teams that drop will receive their Players Pack in lieu of a refund.

After March 21st, if any Waitlisted players remain, they will be removed. Anyone who drops after registration closes can pick up their Players Pack at Play It Again Sports -Cuyahoga Falls or Johnson DGC if applicable.

Wayward Circles Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Transaction fees are non-refundable.

Registration closes on March 16th at 11:59pm. Any team/players that drop prior to the close of registration will receive a full refund minus DGS fees. Any team/players that drop after March 5th will receive their Players Pack in lieu of a refund.

Anyone who drops after registration closes can pick up their Players Pack at Play It Again Sports -Cuyahoga Falls or Johnson DGC if applicable.
