WESTY OPEN WEEKEND (WOW) - Pro / Am B-tier

This is a two-day, two-round, tee-time event at Westy Acres for Pros and Amateurs. The first round is on Saturday, August 10th, and the final round is on Sunday, August 11th. There will also be a casual random doubles match on Friday, August 9th, and a glow round is planned for Saturday night. Camping is available for the weekend at Westy Acres. EVENT FEES
The entry fee for this event varies by division.
From each entry, the following will be deducted:
- $3 to the PDGA
- $3 to bathrooms
- $10 to greens fees which pays for course upkeep
- $3 TD fee donated to support the event
- The remainder of each Pro entry will be applied directly to the cost of awards and to the payout for that division.
- The remainder of each Amateur entry will be used to cover the cost of their player pack and division awards and then applied to the payout for that division.

PAYOUTS
$2000 added cash and prizes
Pro Payouts: We will payout 40% of the Pro divisions. Payouts will be issued via Paypal or Venmo within 48 hours of the event's completion.
Amateur Payouts: We will payout 45% of the Amateur divisions. All amateur divisions play for merchandise credit at Disc Golf 978.

AWARDS
Awards will be presented on Sunday approximately 15 minutes after the last card is in for each division.

There will be trophies for first place in every division.

PLAYERS PACKS
All amateur players who register before July 10th will receive a Westy Open Weekend performance t-shirt. After registration closes, all AM players will receive a $25 credit to Disc Golf 978 to pick up their player pack. This can be used towards any purchase at Disc Golf 978 and is not limited to $25.

Pro players who register before July 10th can also purchase a Westy Open Weekend performance t-shirt for $29.

TEE TIMES
Round 1 tee times will be posted before the event after registration closes.
Round 2 tee times will be posted Saturday night.

Players will receive an email with all event information prior to the event.

CHECK-IN
Pre-tournament check-in is required for players before the first round. All players must arrive at least 30 minutes before the posted tee time.

Players must also check in with the starter no less than 5 minutes prior to their tee time each day and be present at the starting hole for the 5 minutes preceding their tee time each day. (See PDGA Competition Manual Section 1.04)

FRIDAY NIGHT
On Friday night, August 9th, we will hold a casual random doubles tournament.

SATURDAY NIGHT
On Saturday night, August 10th, there will be a glow round.

CAMPING
Camping will be available for the weekend at Westy Acres near the Farm 9 layout. A limited number of RV / Van / Trailer sites are available for a $15 donation, and walk-in primitive tent camping sites will be available for a $5 donation. Plan on carrying your gear approximately one hole length to the tent area. There will be a porta-potty available near the camping area.

The camping area has separate vehicle access from the course and is adjacent to hole 14 of the casual layout (tournament hole 11). The address will be included in the information emailed to participants.

WESTY MONTHLY POINTS SERIES
The Westy Monthly Points series will consist of the 8 Westy Monthly C-Tiers (starting with the December '23 one) plus Westy Open Weekend (WOW) '24.

For the points series, players will be awarded points based on how they place in their division. WOW counts double for points. After the September Monthly, we will invite the top 4 to 8 points-getters (depending on active division size) in each ratings-based division to a match-play tournament. Each competitor will play 3 matches round-robin style to determine an overall champion and runners-up in each division.

All refunds will follow the PDGA Policy in 1.03 of the Competition Manual (https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/103). A $10 fee will be assessed to all refund requests as outlined in the PDGA Policy.

There will be no refunds issued after registration is closed.
