About this tournament
What is the WeDGE Summer Slamdemic?
The Summer Slam-Demic is a double elimination match play competition that takes place over the course of the summer utilizing a rolling schedule. The tournament is a chance for players of all skill levels to compete for cash money and club wide bragging rights while providing them the freedom to schedule their own matches within a two week time frame. The event’s main focus is to encourage and strengthen our communal feel through trash talk, banter, and forcing people to play with someone new.
Check out the pictures section for the full details, pricing, divisions, etc...and below for some guidelines for safety and best practices during play:
All matches will get 2 Weeks to be completed. Time starts as soon as 2 players are available for their match. Exceptions can be made with proper communication with tournament staff. If matches are taking too long, a warning will be issued followed by a random drawing to decide who advances.
If you’re not feeling well, or are living amongst people who may have been affected by COVID19, stay home. You will be refunded if necessary. And if you belong to a group that is considered more vulnerable to the virus, please consider additional precautions.
*Priority will be given to those who competed in "pigtail" matches last year when initial matchups are made. This will ultimately be determined by the number of participants in each pool.
