Welcome back to the Slap at Big Beaver!
This will be a PDGA sanctioned B-tier with 2 rounds of tee times at Big Beaver Disc Golf Course. Competitors will play 1 round on golf on Saturday and 1 on Sunday.
This is the 3rd year of the Western PA Series and we are excited to have partnered with RPM Discs, Zanfel and Camber Disc Golf Company for this event. Layout for the event will be announced and put into the ground by Tuesday before the event. Barring weather issues we intend to mark non-pavement OB lines with paint & Flags.
In partnership with our sponsors, pro divisions will have at least $750 added cash, but we expect it to be higher.
At least 100% payout of Net Entry Fees to Amateur purse (prizes + player packs)
Junior Divisions play as True Amateur (Trophy and Players pack only)
Players Pack Includes:
-Custom Stamped Zing Discs Mini
-Base Stamp RPM Disc
-Zanfel Poison Ivy/Oak/Sumac Relief Gel.
only 80 ams will get the RPM Disc any ams past that will get a camber disc golf supply voucher.
Course Layout:
1C, 2C, 3B, 4C, 5B, 6B
7A, 8A, 9A, 10A, 11A, 12A
13A, 14A, 15A, 16A, 17A, 18A
Tee Assignments:
-MPO, MP40, MA1: Blue Tees (other than 1, 7 and 18)
-FPO, FA1, MP50, MA2, MA3, MA40, MJ18: White Tees (other than 18)
-All other pro and amateur divisions: Red Tees (other than 1 and 12 )
All divisions will play Hole 1 from the White Tee and Hole 18 from the Red Tee.
All divisions playing the Blue Layout will play hole 7 as a Par 4 from the White tee
Payout will be in person at the large pavilion immediately after all cards in that division are completed.
NOTE: Cell service in the valley by Tournament HQ is limited to non-existent, however the park did install free wi-fi that works well (as of 2024). We may be using paper scorecards in addition to PDGA Live.
CTP Challenge: There will be an all day long CTP challenge on Saturday. Each competitor will receive 1 automatic entry with their registration. The 3 closest to the pin competitors will be awarded prizes with the grand prize being TBD. Additional attempts may be purchased on site for $1 per attempt.
Ace Pot: If no ace is hit, the ace pot will be split with half going to the Big Beaver Course Fund and half added into the WPAS Champion's purse.
Spotters: We hope to have spotter(s) available for a few holes. In the event we do not have a spotter on any holes with blind tee shots PLEASE have back of the box spot the first 2 shots then swap with one of the individuals who threw first. In particular, please take this action on holes 8, 11, 12, 15, and 18 as needed.
Division Caps for waitlists will be adjusted on July 1st and again July 22nd if necessary. Any division with less than 3 competitors may be asked to move to other divisions at the TD's discretion.
Junior Divisions may compete with less than 3 players.

The event TD is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. We follow PDGA Event Rule 1.03 for all refunds unless extenuating circumstances are communicated to the TD.
