About this tournament

The PDGA's Women’s Global Event in Central Alberta will be held at the Sylvan Lake Disc Golf Course. This is a one day, 2 round event, with a focus on fun! All skill levels welcome; registration includes an amazing Players Pack from the PDGA with two discs, a mini, a towel and other WGE swag. A free beginners clinic will run on Friday Aug 5th (more details to come).
We are proudly sponsored by Prodigy Disc Canada who are donating more items for the players packs, prizes and silent auction items. For any participants who are new to the sport and don’t have any discs of their own, we will have a box of discs to loan out for the weekend.
This event will have 23 different divisions for players to choose the division they feel most comfortable playing in. The divisions are divided by age and skill level, from Recreational Women, to Pro Women, to girls as young as 6 and women at any age. Here is a list of the divisions available:
Pro Women, Pro Women 40+ 50+ 60+ 70+, Advanced Women, Amateur Women 40+ 50+ 60+ 70+, Recreational Women, Novice Women, Intermediate Women, and Junior Girls 6+ 8+ 10+ 12+ 15+ 18+.
The PDGA and the PDGA Women's Committee have set a goal to introduce more women to disc golf by creating more events for all skill levels. With your help, the PDGA is dedicating resources to the mission of attracting, encouraging, and retaining more participation by women in organized disc golf events.
On August 6th and 7th, women from all around the world will play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating PDGA Women's Global Event. Scores from the first two rounds of each participating tournament will be submitted by the individual tournament directors and rated by the PDGA. These round ratings will be totaled and averaged to determine the player's "Global Score." The global results will be updated throughout the day to determine our PDGA Women’s Global Event Champions and the winner in each division will receive a memorable trophy.
