Reminders for tomorrow:

It takes 3 teams to make a division, so we are looking for a couple teams to play open with Plantz/Romine.

For those that were concerned about the mixed division, it is an amateur division and will be limited to amateur players.

Layouts:
Pro/Am 1: Black/Black
Am2: Black/White
AM3 & Am 4: White/White
Mixed: Black/White (partners will always play from the same teepads)
Masters (if any): White/White
Juniors (if any): Red/Red

Registration will open at 8:00am and both players on a team need to be present to register. There will be a players meeting at 9:15am and tee off is scheduled for 9:30am.

The second round will start an hour after the last card from the first round is turned in. This will ensure that everyone gets at least one hour to take a lunch break.

We are walking the course tonight to assess and finalize the areas that will be out of bounds. Each card will have a print out of what is going to be played as out of bounds. There will be an OB line painted behind 16’s basket near the crest of the hill; the line will split hole 13 and hole 16 and be in play for both holes. The pond on hole 6 (left of the basket) will be played as out of bounds. Again, other OB areas will be finalized tonight and available on an OB sheet tomorrow.

Also, as per PDGA best shot doubles rules, teams should always play from the same lie. This means you have to pick one shot to play. Some local leagues allow you to “take your own”, “split” , or “take each other’s”; “splitting” will not be allowed tomorrow.

Weather is looking great for a full day of disc golf. See you all tomorrow morning!

Couple divisions are a little light....We have 1 Pro team signed up, looking for 2 more....maybe there are 2 AM 1 teams that are interested in playing up?

Secondly, DeMar/Bennett are interested in mixed....since Mixed was presented as an AM division, are there 2 teams that are interested in forming a Pro-Mixed division with them?

Also have a few spots left if you have friends that may be interested. Forecast looks pretty nice!

I would like to thank everyone who came out yesterday to play in Daywalkers. It was a beautiful day and Independence is a great course that does not get as much recognition as it should. Congratulations to our winners Common/Jaworski, Plantz/Romine, Wolf/Tucker, and Stanton/Langosch.

Of course the event does not run smooth with help so I would also like to thank sponsors from yesterday, which included Wolf Pack Discs, A3 Disc, Club 127, and 24 Chains. Those that helped with setup in the morning and packing up were great in helping keep things moving along. Thank you to Rob DeHaan, Chris Kerns, Ken Sailler, and Shane Brayton for the help in planning and setup. Thank you to Jennifer Porter for helping get things tallied up there at the end, it was a big task and I appreciate the extra help.

There were a number of items that were brought into the lost and found yesterday....several of them got returned, but I still left yesterday with some items. I think all of the them had contact info on them so I will be sending a text message to them here shortly. I hope that if something went missing yesterday it found its way back to you or will in short order.

Lastly, I know that events are not without there share of hiccups or decisions that are not going to be popular. We try to look at all information that we have and even bounce ideas of several folks before moving forward. I appreciate all the dialog and honest discussion I have had regarding these issues. As we are trying to grow from more that just a weekly league, there are going to be things that we learn in the process. We would appreciate feedback, so please feel free to PM one of the four of us: Chris Kerns, Rob DeHaan, Ken Sailler, Scott Sprow.
