Are there really emails going out about further info ??
I did not volunteer for any Mon efforts but would think all volunteers would get the info.
I do have volunteer obligations for Tue yet there is also no info emailed as of 4 pm Monday.
Seeing some other questions on this forum not answered I don’t feel comfy the volunteer concerns are being or will be addressed. I would at least like to know where you want us to park and where to report for duty ??

I'm able to help Saturday the 13th to set up course assets but don't see anywhere to make that known.

I thought the PDGA disassociated itself with UDisc. So my question is - what application will scorers be using for this event ?

Hi… I have volunteered under the definition of being a volunteer. Happy to serve.
Volunteering is the act of rendering selfless service to a cause, oftentimes for free and without coercion. It is about giving time to a good cause, specifically to help an organization, your community or an individual you are not related to. People who engage in this type of activity are known as volunteers.
Nope…. Volunteer is volunteer per definition. If you are expecting anything you will always be disappointed at whatever may come your way.
I volunteer every year at the Jonesboro Open, and we get to spectate for free when we are not working our shift. I am a spotter on a hike for 4 hours each day and spectate for about 5 hours. Seems a reasonable trade for time.
I agree ‘reasonable’ but that is not a volunteer spirit. I have played Jonesboro several years. They did not commit to giving you party hill access (certain roped areas) till just this week. DGPT controls this - times are a changing. At Music City you can go anywhere in the roped areas which is a lot more broad coverage.

I am happy to volunteer, but it is pretty tacky for the tour to expect people to volunteer for free. A $20 ticket for the day you spectate is the very least they could do.

If I volunteer for a 11:00-3:00 shift, can I watch the tournament before and after my shift?
Whitney, any news on being able to spectate when you are not working?
Sounds like a good definition. But the DGPT is a for profit company getting greedier by the minute so I think a complimentary spectator pass is not too much to ask.
