United States Amateur Match Play DOUBLES Championship (MONTH LONG)

Competitor Info – Doubles
Who?
Current PDGA member guidelines – Disc golfers rated 969 or below as of January 1, 2018. New members who do not have a current PDGA rating are eligible to compete.
Non-current PDGA members – Disc golfers who have never been rated 970 or above.
Non-PDGA members – Disc golfers who are not current PDGA members or are so new to the PDGA that they do not have a rating are eligible to play in the event.
What?
Local USAMPC doubles qualifier match play brackets will be held throughout the United States and Canada in July. A list of these events can be found on the UDisc app (coming soon!). Players that meet the qualifications described above can pay $90 per team to compete in one of these brackets. Please contact the TD to get more information on local details. The Local Qualifying Bracket may be conducted over a few days or over the period of a few weeks. The Local Qualifying Bracket TD will determine the timing of when the brackets need to be played. The $90 per team entry fee is a one time cost. Teams will receive a Dynamic Discs Fuzion Burst Maverick and Latitude-64 Gold Burst Explorer in their team pack. If a team advances to the next levels, there are not additional entry fees. Winners of Local Qualifying Brackets will move on to the State/Province Bracket. Winners of the State/Province Bracket will move on to the Championship Bracket in Emporia, Kansas (September 28-30, 2018).

Where?
Bracket TDs will establish the locations for the Local Qualifying Bracket matches.
State or Provincial Coordinators (or a designee) will establish the schedule/locations for the State Bracket matches.
The Championship Bracket will be hosted in Emporia, Kansas.
Why?
Match play is an exciting way to compete as a disc golfer. Match play has grown in popularity and the unique format provides an opportunity for using a different strategy than what disc golfers typically employ playing traditional stroke play. The event also allows amateurs another opportunity to experience tournament disc golf at the highest level.

Awards for Local Qualifying Bracket and State/Province Bracket
First Place – DyeMax Trophy Discs + $200 dynamicdiscs.com credit (per team)
Second Place – Dyemax Trophy Junior Discs + $100 dynamicdiscs.com credit (per team)
Third place – DyeMax trophy Minis +$50 dynamicdiscs.com store credit (per team)
Teams that win their State/Province Championship Bracket will be provided the following:
• $1000 cash for travel expenses (per team)
• Free entry into a singles two round stroke play B-Tier on Saturday, September 29 – for the 108 players that will not advance to play on Saturday.

Awards for Championship Bracket in Emporia
FIRST PLACE – $32K VALUE
18 Veteran baskets and 18 tee signs to be used wherever the champion wants! ($8K value)
Dynamic Discs will ship 18 portable or permanent Veteran baskets and 18 tee signs and frames (including design work) to the champion team. These baskets could be donated to a local park that needs new baskets, they could go towards a new course (public or private), or any other creative place the champion chooses!
Discs for Life ($24K value) – Life sounds better than 20 years. It is really 20 years.
Dynamic Discs will provide both champions with a $2,000 credit at dynamicdiscs.com. On the first of each year (from 2019-2038), $500 will be added to each champion’s dynamicdiscs.com account to be used on discs and merchandise.
SECOND PLACE – $6K VALUE
9 Veteran baskets and 9 tee signs to be used wherever the champion wants! ($4K value)
