Truly Unique Disc Golf presents Ace Leader
About this tournament
Disc Golf for a Good Cause is a fundraiser event to help two local individuals whose families are close to a few of us in the disc golf community.
The event is 100% a fundraiser. We will play 18 holes of Ace Race style disc golf. We will have multiple baskets on many holes.
Players will bring 2 discs of their choice. For this ace race they will use only these two discs. Holes will range 125-225 feet.
Players will throw two shots off of every tee. Points will be awarded based on those two shots.
Scoring is as follows:
Ace - 5 points
Metal - 3 points
Chains -3 points
Players can only record one hit per disc thrown. A maximum of 2 hits per hole may be recorded, one per disc.
Example, a disc hits the chains when you ace a basket, you only get the ace, you do not get the ace and the chains.
This is a flex start.
The player with the most points in their division will receive a prize pack.
Second place in each division will also receive a prize pack, but the pack will be smaller.
Details below!
On Thursday, July 18th, Chris Goodrich and his two children were in a horrible car accident in Indianapolis. Chris and his daughter were transported to local hospitals and Chris is in ICU. His son sadly did not survive the accident. His wife and daughter are staying in Indianapolis while Chris recovers. Chris is a friend to myself and Scott Reek.
On Saturday, July 20th, 18-year-old Zach Foster was in a tubing accident while riding on a tube behind a boat on the water. The tube flipped and the impact from the water has started to cause Zach to experience daily episodes. He starts to seize unexpectedly. He has spent much of his time since in and out of the hospital while doctors try to figure out the cause of these episodes. As a result, the medical bills are piling up. Zach is unable to work, he is unable to drive, and at times he can't even hardly walk. Zach is a close personal friend to my daughter Autumn.
Raffle value will be determined by the amount brought in.
