Welcome to the 2023 Trinity Summer Sizzler! This is the first sanctioned event held by CCR at Trinity! We’re excited about this new course. I see we have a lot of new players. All players are required to play by the PDGA rules and know them, but also remember that if you are on a card with a new or newer player, we want to be welcoming and informative.
Check-In will be from 830am to 9am. I am planning to set up by Hole 1 unless the weather is bad. IF it's raining then I will either be near the front door of the church, or just inside the doors. Shortly after 9am, I will set the hole assignments and we will tee off at 915am. There will be a 2 minute warning and tee off horn to signal you.
We are using the PDGA Scoring system. Simply go to PDGA.COM/SCORE on a browser on your phone and enter the code: TSS23 Additionally, the PDGA now has an app that you can use. Download PDGA Live in your App Store and go to Scorecard at the bottom once you're in the app. One person on each card will be required to keep score, but it is recommended that 2 people keep score simultaneously to avoid any scoring issues. Once you complete round 1, please verify your scores with your card and submit them. About 45-50 minutes from the last card in, we will start round 2. I will post Round 2 time on disc golf scene as well as send out an alert through your PDGA scoring page as soon as it’s available. There is some rain projected in the afternoon. 3 horn blasts means that we will have a delay for lightning for the players safety.
We will be doing on site payouts. If the weather is bad, I will be set up inside for the payouts. Per PDGA standards, payouts are to the top 45% of ams. I will post the number of payout spots on disc golf scene in the comments after Round 1 begins. We will also have some CTPs during Round 1 since the weather for Round 2 is questionable. I will have those ready at check in tomorrow.
If you have any questions about a rules call during play, please play a provisional and bring the question to me after the round for an official ruling if your card cannot come to one.
Good luck to everyone! See you at the course!
