This will be my first tournament. What rules should I know coming into this event (O.B., marking your disc, penalties, etc.)?

hey bud, this will be a fun three disc challenge. Everyone in the tournment gets three discs and they are only allowed to play with those discs. There will be OB marked and we can make sure to set you up with some guys that know the rules and will help you learn.

Trilogychallenge.com says this is happening August 26. Is August 19 correct?

August 19th is the correct date. Thank you for bringing it to my attention

Why does your trilogy challenge have two rounds and the one at silver creek is a one round flex?

Just the way we decided to run it. There is no set way to do it. NTC is a fairly fast course to go through so we figured two round would be more appealing

Correct. You are only allowed to use the 3 discs that come in the players pack. That’s just how the trilogy challenge works, same as a winter wizards tournament where you only get to use the 2 putters from the players pack. It’s part of the fun

Same here. I ran one as a fundraising event last year and it went very will. Also Run a league Friday nights. If you have any questions feel free to get ahold of me

OK, Do most T.D's acquire "special event" ( Liability) insurance somewhere?? a venue that I approached told me they would require me to have insurance

Phil Orman   May 22, 2023 at 8:33pm

If you host a PDGA sanctioned tournament the pdga covers the insurance... otherwise, you have to, if the city/park requires it

So we are not allowed to use our own discs, only the two in the player pack?? As a 1st time T.D this coming summer, I'm kind of curious as to "why"?? If ya don't mind me asking? I'm going to host a amateur tournament also for players that have been apprehensive or even " fearful" about playing in a tournament.
