Tiger Open Friday Flex Start DOUBLES at The Woods at Trinity
About this tournament
The Tiger Open is back again for the 4th year in a row! Come kick off a 3 day weekend at The Woods at Trinity with a Flex Start Friday! The Course will be set up in the Tiger Open Layout for this event.
Check-In
All players MUST check in with the Tournament Director before teeing off. We will organize and create your card, as well as communicate the rules. Players who start their round without TD confirmation are subject to disqualification without refund.
Pre-Registration CTP's
Register online or on site. Online Preregistration is preferred and will enter you to compete for 2 CTP holes if done by 8:00pm the day before the event! We accept cash, card, and Venmo on site for registration.
Course Layout
Everyone will be playing the Tiger Open Layouts for this event
Holes 2 and 11 will feature temporary baskets that all pools will use. Hole 2's pin will be a long location that will play as a par 4 for all. Hole 11 will have a short pin that will play as a par 3 for all.
Each Layout has a UDisc smart layout.
Gold Layout - Pro Doubles
Blue tees (Long) to Gold baskets (Long).
Original Holes 13-14 and 20-21 will be combined into two par 5's. You will play hole 13's blue tee to hole 14's basket and hole 20's blue tee to hole 21's gold pin. Skip original hole 15.
White Layout - Am Doubles
Red Tee (Short) to Gold Pin (Long) on holes 1-7,10,12,13,15-18.
Blue Tee (Long) to Short Basket on holes 8-9,11,14
Original Holes 13-14 and 20-21 will be combined into two par 5's. You will play hole 13's Red tee to hole 14's basket and hole 20's Red tee to hole 21's gold pin. Skip original hole 15.
Doubles Format
Teams will play best shot, or scramble, doubles. Each player will throw from each lie and the team will choose which throw to use for their next shot. We will be using the official PDGA rules of play. Extra throws will count as practice shots which will count against your total score. Scoring
Players will record their scores via the UDisc league event. Find our event on the UDisc app and check in using the on screen button. All players must check in before creating a scorecard. You do not need a premium account to use this feature.
Entry Fee Breakdown
Doubles - $50 per team
$40 Payout
$10 Course and Tournament Fees
There is an additional and optional $5 ace pot entry per player
Ace Pot
Any player who enters into the ace pot will have a chance for a serious payday if the hit a hole in one during competition! The ace pot total for this event is TBD. If no aces are hit then the collected ace pot entries will carry over to our next North Texas Flex Start event. If more than one aces are hit then the players will evenly split the ace pot.
Flex Start Payout
$40 of each team entry fee is collected for the purse for this event. Payout will be awarded to the top 30% of each division. Payout will be top heavy, meaning winners can expect to receive a large portion of the purse. Pro divisions will be paid in cash or digitally after the event. Amateur players will win a merchandise credit to The on-site Disc Golf Dojo proshop.
Payout will be available and published to UDisc once all players have completed their rounds and after 6pm. Payout can be redeemed the day of the event or at any future Disc Golf Dojo event. Follow us on Disc Golf Scene and get notified where we are each weekend.
Am payout will expire 2 years after it is awarded. Credit awarded at this event is valid through July 12th, 2026.
Singles
We are hosting an additional PDGA Sanctioned Flex Start Singles event in conjunction with this one. For more details on Singles check out the event page linked below. Doubles and singles have separate ace pots.
