Third Coast 5 o'clock Somewhere Flex Start REVAMPED!
About this tournament
With the success of the last flex start, we're trying another one! Registration and availability is open later this time, as a way to encourage more people to play after work. As long as you begin play before 5:30pm, you're good to go!
Course Rules:
- Holes 1 and 10: Water is OB, if any part of the disc is on land, you're safe.
- Hole 10: OB on throw from teepad will go to Hole 1s teepad as drop zone. Players may opt to forgo Hole 10's tee shot, taking a 2-stroke penalty to throw their third from hole 1's teepad.
- Hole 3: Flags have been placed behind the tee pad as an optional teeing area due to the uneven tee pad.
- Holes 4 and 13: Vertical of the curb is OB. If you're in the street inside the curb, it's out of bounds. IF you're leaning against the curb and any part of the disc is leaning into in-bounds area, disc is safe, as determined by cardmates.
- Hole 13: If out-of-bound after first throw from teeing area, move to drop zone. Any other throws/subsequent OB will be played by standard rules.
- Holes 8 and 17: Water is OB, if any part of the disc is on land, you're safe. OB from teeing area goes to the drop zone near #18's tee pad.
OPTIONAL: If you're concerned about losing a disc on Holes 8 or 17, you may forgo your throw from the initial teeing ground and proceed directly to the drop zone (two stroke penalty, you will be throwing your third shot for the hole).
Hole 18: Double mandatory through the marked trees. Missed mandatories will proceed to the drop zone between the two trees.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Because of the nature of this flex start, water may not be available, so it's recommended to bring water if possible. Restrooms are not available at Waldron Park, so please plan your round accordingly!
