The Vic Park Classic Sponsored by Highway 2 Disc Golf

This is a PDGA officially sanctioned C-Tier tournament. As such, we will be following the PDGA Competition Manual for disc golf events. This is the 2022 Vic Park Classic Sponsored by Highway 2 Disc Golf. Come out and enjoy a day disc golfing in two of Red Deer's most beautiful disc golf courses.

Rounds
2 rounds at Victoria Park (with new temporary holes) and 2 rounds at Kentwood Park. Junior divisions will play one lap each of Vic Park and Kentwood Park. Junior players are welcome to play a second round at each location so that they stay alongside their adult legal guardian, if that adult is in the tournament.

Tee Times
Round 1: 9:30am
Round 2: 1:15pm

Waitlist
To get on the waitlist you will sign up and submit the full tournament fee. On April 22, 2022 (or sooner) the number of spots in divisions will be changed to accommodate as many waitlisted players as possible. In the event that you are unable to join the tournament, a refund will be issued in accordance to the refund policy.

Player Pack
Player pack will consist of a combination of items including disc golf stickers, a disc towel, and additional items may be added to the player's pack as they are donated.

Trophies and Prizes
There will be trophies for the top 3 spots in each division. Additionally there will be prizes. We will announce closer to the tournament date the format of these prizes. They will likely be CTP (closest to the pin), LP (longest putt), and LD (longest drive).

Ace Pot
Optional $5 Ace Pot entry to be shared by all competitors who throw an Ace during a tournament round. If no Aces are made, all money will be used to purchase mobile baskets for future Highway 2 Disc Golf events.

T-Shirts
We have designed a special commemorative t-shirt for the inaugural Highway 2 Disc Golf Tournament. Purchasing this shirt will help us fund our portable 18 basket set as well as a discount on a future Highway 2 Disc Golf tournament. You don't have to buy one of the shirts... but they are pretty sweet. $16 pre-order, or $20 at the tournament.

Covid-19 Release
"I understand that participation in this event carries with it risk of injury or death and I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, administrators, executors, and assigns expressly release, forever discharge, and hold harmless The Vic Park Classic, The City of Red Deer, Rob Raincock, Randy Quast, and the PDGA (the "Releasees") for all personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death in connection with my participation in this event. Further, I understand and acknowledge that there currently exists a global pandemic associated with the disease COVID-19, that I am participating in this event at my own risk, that any safety precautions designed to protect against the spread of COVID-19 undertaken by the Releasees does not guarantee I will not contract COVID-19, and that, the foregoing notwithstanding, it is my specific intent to affirm my foregoing release of the Releasees with respect to any personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death I may experience from COVID-19 in connection with my participation in this event."

Highway 2 Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Before April 20th, 2022, at 12:00pm, all requested and approved refunds will be issued in the manner payment was made, minus PayPal service fees. This “usual” type of refund will be available up until April 20th, 2022, at 12:00pm.

After that, a credit towards a future Highway 2 Disc Golf Tournament will be made available on a case by case basis.

In the event of an unforeseen or weather cancellation, a credit for future Highway 2 Disc Golf Tournaments, amounting to 200% of the player entry fee paid for this tournament ($25 paid, $50 credit, unless a discount code was used), will be issued. All tournament credits will be given in the form of a discount code. Player packs will be mailed out to all participants in the event of an unforeseen or weather cancellation.
