Save the date: December 8th, 2024 we'll be hosting a doubles fundraiser event in Burlington on a brand new Tyandaga Disc Golf course.
The City of Burlington has made a commitment to upgrading their disc golf course by switching to premium disc golf baskets and a new course layout in 2024.
We're bringing-in an extra 9 baskets and setting up an 18 hole layout to provide our competitors with a once-a-year opportunity to play a full (tentative) layout and give us your feedback!
The event is an ODSA fundraiser for baskets and course infrastructure as we strive to develop additional courses (both seasonal and permanent) in Ontario.
FORMAT
Each team will compete in 2 rounds of "best-shot doubles" competitive play.
FINANCES
The event is $50 per team which includes 2 rounds on a full 18-hole course, trophies for the winning team in each division, portable toilet rental, coffee, water and snacks for all competitors and a stack of fun raffle prizes for anyone who fills a digital survey out during lunch.
FOOD DRIVE
We're also running the event alongside a food drive for our local food bank: any team that brings at least two canned goods or dry food items will receive a mulligan to be used once, by one of their players during the first round.
DIVISIONS
Take your team's HIGHEST RATED PLAYER to determine which division you belong in. Teams may play up in any division they wish but may not play in a division with a rating restricted to lower than their highest rated player's rating. If you don't have a rating, please use your highest rated round over the last 12 months.
Divisions (By Rating)
• Gold (No Restriction)
• White (935 or lower)
• Maroon (875 or lower)
• WMN (Women 825 or lower)
Note: if a team has one partner considerably lower-rated than the other, I am willing to forgive up to 5 rating points give-or-take in the interest of not forcing folks to play tees they're uncomfortable with. This is a trophy-only event and while it's certainly competitive, I'd like folks to have fun.

Please note: Natural tee surfaces are present on golf fairway/tee decks as per the city's directive. We've provided artificial turf teepads off-course (shule, paths, rough) where available. As such, we ask that all competitors take this into account when choosing appropriate footwear.
