The Southern Star Duo is one of the area's most prestigious tournaments. Originally started by Andi Young, in conjunction with Southern Star Brewery, the tournament has been the crown jewel event of the Conroe disc golf scene.
Still Banging is honored to have been granted this tournament by Andi Young and Dave Fougeron. We aim to continue to raise the bar for this tournament as you did for so many years.
This PDGA B-Tier will feature $1500 added cash on the pro side. Our sponsor, Lone Star Discs, will be providing the stamped disc for the players pack on this event. Thank you LONE STAR DISCS! Your support of this great event is appreciated.
This will be a 1 day tournament featuring 2 rounds between McDade Park, and Lil E, followed by awards, payout, and a players party at Southern Star that will feature food, drink, and disc golf games.
Still Banging will also be doing its Sponsor Appreciation, and more at the brewery after the tournament.
We have some bigger named players already lined up for this event, and we hope to see all of the great Houston talent continue the tradition of ending the tournament year with this prestigious Southern Star Duo!

Refund policy
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund (minus up to a $10 handling fee).
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 15 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through the waitlist. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 50% cash refund OR just the player’s pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping).
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through the waitlist. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 25% cash refund OR just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping).
Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to the published closure of registration and waitlist replacements and don’t play (aka a no-show), forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack. This does NOT apply to a waitlist player; 1.03.B
