-Friday we will have random doubles at the Sheridan College Course playing the tournament layout. Check it at 5-545. Meeting at 545. Start at 6. $5 a person and 100% payout
- Saturday we will have players check it at The Sports Shop from 8-845 am. 208 N main st in Sheridan. Really excited to offer a custom dyed disc from Cloud Peak Dyes. There will also be more items in the player's pack and prizes for the top 50% of each division. Players meeting at 9 at hole 1 at the Sheridan College Disc Golf Course.
The tournament will be a shotgun start. We will be playing a mix of existing holes and new holes around the campus. I have attached a tentative map for the layout, but this could change. Tournament central will be near hole 1 and please come to tournament central after round 1 for starting time for round 2.(at least 1 1/2 hrs after last card) All course notes and final map will be available Friday at doubles or Saturday before round.
Round 2 will be in Story Wy. We will have a players meeting before a shotgun start and play the 9 hole course 2 times(18 holes). If divisions are large enough we will regroup based on scores for round 2. Again after round 2 check in with tournament directors at the tournament central near hole 1 in Story. This is the end of the C tier tournament. Awards, raffle, Ring of fire will all take place at the players party at Luminous Brewery in Sheridan Wy at 8 pm. Luminous Brewery has been a huge support to local disc golf and we are excited to have our party with them. Also we will be supporting the boys and girls $1 a pint as they are also having a fundraising event there. We believe efforts to team up with different organizations in the community can only benefit both groups moving forward..
POP Up course in north Sheridan near the Green Room Hiking Trail after round 2. Any help to set up would be greatly appreciated. This is non sanctioned and it is $5 per person. We will be playing temp holes in a beautiful natural area, random doubles, with interesting rules for some holes( like for side arm only, over hand only, putter only, worst shot, alternate shots, and more.) 100% payout and We will have at least 80$ worth of additional items to give away.
Player party will be at the Luminous Brewery in Sheridan Wy at 8 pm. 504 Broadway st. We will have awards, ctps, raffle, and ring of fire. We will have at least 1 basket for the ring of fires. We will give everything away as fast as we can to be considerate to those who don't want to stay out all night.
Sunday in Dayton Wy check in will be from 9-945, players meeting to follow and shotgun start shortly after 10. We will be playing the Dayton Course of 9 holes 2 times, I also think we will have to replace 1 hole with a temp hole because of a conflict with a neighbor. (possibly hole 3) We will have a throw off for the weekend's ace money if one isn't hit, ctp prizes, and wrap up anything else we need to wrap up.
Goals for event: Make the event as awesome as we can for all the participants. Grow disc golf in communities around WY. We are working to get more sponsors for the event. Already have $100 worth of gift cards to local businesses to give away during the event. Show our appreciation to these communities Also have at least 10 spots for youth to do the event for $1 plus pdga fee with full players' pack. We are looking for sponsors for youth if you know anyone interested. Hoping to grow junior opportunities, however we understand that with this event being in three locations it is a challenge for juniors and parents. Female competitors also will receive 150% of entry in disc golf merchandise.
This is a Tour of Wyoming Series event and will count toward qualifing for the Tour of Wyoming Championship Oct 8
