Be sure to arrive early enough to find parking, pick up your player's pack and check in with me to get the pdga digital scorecard access code before teeing off.
Groups/Cards for Round 2 are determined based on scores from round 1. For example, the MA2 Intermediate division is teeing off from 9:20 until 10:10 during round 1, and whichever 4 players shoot the best, will be playing last on round 2 teeing off at 10:10, and the worst 4 scores would be teeing off first at 9:20 on day 2. Players may have a caddy if they choose. Caddies and spectators must sign in with Reidy Creek Golf Course. Overflow parking is available across the street at Jesmond Dene park.
$5K/$10K Ace Event: Only on day 1 of the tournament (8/27) on the 312’ par 3 hole 16, players will be able to throw an ace worth up to $10,000. Discs from Dynamic, Westside, and Latitude 64 (Trilogy) are worth $10,000, but if you ace with any other brand, then it is only $5,000. Players will state their name and disc choice to the cameraman that will be capturing your shot. If multiple players hit the ace on 16 on day 1, the prize is split. Full details available here: https://growdiscgolf.com/5k-10k-grow-disc-golf-ace-challenge/
There are 2 layouts on the Udisc app for you to record backup scorecards, one for each day of the tourney. Day 1’s layout favors clockwise spin throwers, Day 2’s layout favors counterclockwise throwers as most of the baskets move from finishing left to finishing right. The Two Meter rule is not in effect. Be sure to watch all shots thrown on your card so that you can then assist in looking for the discs if the thrower needs help finding them. There is a standard 3 minute search time to look for someone’s disc; everyone must participate in searching for the full 3 minutes. Keeping a steady pace of play is important to limit the chance of backups. On any hole, Golf Sandtrap/Bunkers and Greens are out of bounds. Play from your lie in the sandtrap with a stroke penalty. Play from where your disc was last in bounds with a stroke penalty if it lands on the golf green. Only on holes 3,6,7,&17, the cart path plays as an artificial OB river, where if you land on the cart path, you play from where you were last in bounds with a stroke penalty. On every other hole, the cart path and everything beyond it is OB.

Hole 2. Brick Pad - Cart Path and Beyond is OB
Hole 3. Brick Pad - Cart Path is OB. Any shot that lands in the water left or right is OB and the player should then proceed to the drop zone at the red disc golf tee on the cart path with a stroke penalty.
