The Rose Pond Ruckus
About this tournament
For years you’ve driven past it on I-15, now’s your chance to be the first to play a temporary course at Rose Pond.
Cotton wood corridors? Check!
Water Carries? Check!!
Ace Runs on a literal island? Check!!!
Everyone gets two custom discs and a custom pin? Check!!!!
Custom printed license plates inspired by the 1980's Idaho plate for the winners?
Double Check!!
Two rounds via tee times. This will be a PDGA true amateur event for the non MPO divisions, which puts the focus on the player experience instead of a payout.
This is a fundraising event. We'll be raising money for the Paul McBeth Foundation, a non-profit that installs disc golf courses in underserved areas around the world. At least $15 from each entry will be donated, as well as any extra funds after costs. Even though it is an XC tier, your round will be rated.
There will also be a raffle with 100% of the ticket proceeds going to the charity.
MPO will not automatically get a players pack, but may add on items when they register. They will get a payout, which will be calculated taking the fundraiser into account.
We hope to have the layout ready by early May. The baskets won’t be installed, but we’ll have it on UDisc.
We will have an easier layout for the FA2, MA4 and Jun12 divisions.
Come help us raise a ruckus at Rose Pond, and do some good while we're at it.
