About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Event Details
This will be a PDGA sanctioned tournament. The $10 non-member fee is waived for all Juniors at this tournament. We are trying to make this tournament affordable to get as many juniors involved as possible.
Per the PDGA: Every child under the age of 13 must have a parent or legal guardian accompany them on the course. Most cards will be arranged by division. If you are a parent with multiple children playing, please let me know by 10/10/23 and the cards can be planned to accommodate. Please view the PDGA's competition manual for juniors: https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/113 .
Snacks and a water fill station will be provided. Plan to bring water bottles and lunches.
If your child would benefit from a skills clinic prior to the tournament, please let us know and we can arrange something to him prepare him/her for the tournament. If we get enough interest, we can schedule something for a large group prior to the tournament.
Scorekeeping
Full digital scoring using the PDGA's online scorecard system. Hole assignments will be set prior to the day before the tournament. Hoping to have two players/parents keeping score per card.
Pad Assignments
2 rounds on Short Pads - MJ18, FJ18, MJ15, FJ15
2 rounds on Combo of Short Pads and Jr. Pads - MJ12, FJ12, MJ10, FJ10
1 round on Jr. Pads - MJ08, FJ08, MJ06, FJ06
Please be sure to register for the age that the player will be at the end of the calendar year, or an older division if they wish to play the longer layouts or 2 rounds. Please do what is best for your child's physical fitness, child's skill level and best interest.
Player's Pack
We are working with sponsors to get the best player's pack possible despite the low entrance fee. For now, we have a custom-stamp Dynamic Disc putter (Prime EMAC Judge or Prime Warden Burst), Mini Disc, bag of Lofty Pursuits Candy, $5 gift card to Lofty Pursuits.
Prizes Galore
We'll have several CTP discs and accessories for players of different divisions to win. Lofty Pursuits is also providing gift cards for podium winners.
Proceeds
The proceeds for this tournament are to help a youth based charity. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Miracle in the Woods Foundation https://mitwfoundation.org/ The foundation is owned and operated by Jamie & Bethany Kiep. Jamie will also have a booth set up with information on the foundation and will have disc golf items for sale.
Please do not allow economic reasons to prevent you from playing in this tournament. Reach out to me privately and we can figure out a way to make participation affordable. If you have questions or suggestions, please reach out privately to [email redacted].
