We are looking forward to seeing you this March when we join the 2021 DGPT Silver Series, one of six in the USA in 2021. The Open is the weekend after WACO and Belton is about 45 minutes down the freeway. Join the Texas Spring Swing of three top tier events on consecutive weekends: WACO, The Open, and Texas States.
DGPT TIER 1 and ALL OTHER DIVISIONS REGISTRATIONS open up here on Disc Golf Scene on 1/4/21.
PRO Format
All Pro Divisions will play three rounds; one round per day Fri-Sat-Sun on The Open Course at Heritage Park - long tees. All rounds will be on tee times and will start early and run late into the afternoon. General divisional tee times will be posted mid-February.
AM Format
All AMs will play two rounds on tee times, one per day Sat & Sun. All AM tee times will be before 1pm. Note: AMs will not play The Open Course this event. We will introduce a new 18 hole Park Avenue Course which will be set up near the main Heritage Park entrance for four days only (3/18-3/21). The second course will be Crossroads DGC in nearby Temple.
AM Player Packs
As of 1/1/21 we're still figuring all that out but we won't let you down. Your player pack will include a DGPT Weekend Pass Badge to enter The Open Course as a spectator.
DGPT Weekend Pass Badges (spectator tickets)
At this point in time, only those participating in the event will be allowed entry to The Open Course. Should we be able to reduce limitations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will update registrants first on their ability to purchase spectator passes.
• All AM players and Age-Protected PROs: Receive one (1) DGPT Weekend Pass Badge included in their entry fee.
• Your Badge allows you onto The Open Course to view FPO & MPO for the entire event Friday – Sunday.
• MPO & FPO: Will receive two (2) Badges directly from the DGPT. The first is their competitor Badge and the second is for a designated caddie or support member. Note: Any additional Badges obtained by MPO or FPO players DO NOT qualify that extra Badge holder to be within restricted areas (inside the ropes).
• Journeyman Sponsors: May receive extra Badge(s) depending on level of support. More info to follow.
• For all AMs: Badges and Player Packs will be available by will-call only at the Park Avenue entrance gate Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
• For all PROs: Badges will be available by will-call FRIDAY ONLY at the 24th Ave gate. They will also be available for those MPO & FPO players participating in the DGPT press conference two days before the event. If you are picking up your Badges on Friday be sure to allow a few extra minutes before your tee time to get your badge(s) when entering the gate.
• Please be aware masks and distancing as well as other covid-19 related measures will most likely continue into late March. This may include a temperature test at The Open Course gates.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Extra activities like Putting Contest and Doubles will be added over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for details. A player party is unlikely given the current covid prognosis but we will adjust if things improve. I'm sure we're all ready for a good old fashioned players party by now.
