About this tournament
Goose Promotions and The Open at Austin are excited to present The Open at Austin Am Event 2024 at The MetCenter DGC! The event will be a 1-day, 2-round Amateur Only B-Tier with shotgun start tee times.

Layout Assignments:
Round 1:
All Divisions - Short Tees
Round 2:
MA1 - Long Tees (except Hole 6)
All other divisions - Short Tees
Fee Breakdown - the listed registration fee is all inclusive, there are no additional fees for the event besides the Ace Pot (optional $5 per player at registration):
$100/player:
-$3 PDGA Fee
-$12 Greens Fees/Toilets
-$50 Player Pack
-$35 Payout
Player Pack:
Each player will receive a 3-day Spectator Pass for The Open at Austin ($45 value) and a Open at Austin Lonestar Disc ($20 value). Total player pack value is $65.
Payout/Post Event:
Payout will take place at the completion of Round 2. Payout will be on-Site to Goose Promotions merchandise including over 1,000 discs, soft goods, bags, carts, etc. Combined value of payout and player pack is $100 (100% of total entry fee).
ABW is providing a free beer for every player!
We will have a raffle with some awesome prizes including a Zuca Cart, an Upper Park Rebel Bag, and a bunch of other goodies. Tickets are:
1 ticket for $5
5 tickets for $20
12 tickets for $40
30 tickets for $100
Course Setup/Practice:
The course is marked as of Sunday, 3/3/24 with white flags. Goose Promotions will host a doubles event on Friday, March 8 if you want a chance to practice the layout beforehand. Register here: https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/Open_at_Austin_Am_Event_Friday_Doubles_2024
The Top 2 spots in the MA1 and FA1 divisions will receive a PAID ENTRY to The Open at Austin Monday Qualifier. The 3rd and 4th place spots will receive a reserved spot in the qualifier but it is unpaid. Harvey Penick:
Harvey Penick will be available for play on Monday, March 18 with a shotgun start event at 8:30am. This will be your ONLY opportunity to play the course before next year. The first 33 entrants to this event will receive a FREE entry to play Harvey Penick ($20 value) on Monday, March 18.
I want to give a huge shoutout to the Waco Disc Golf Association for allowing us to host this event the same weekend as Waco Charity Open!

Refund policy
Goose Promotions, LLC is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.GP will follow the PDGA refund policy here: https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/103
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 15 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus up to a $10 handling fee only if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the TD has the choice to provide either a 50% monetary refund of their entry fee or just the player’s pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 50% monetary refund.
Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee only if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the TD has the choice to provide either a 25% monetary refund or just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% monetary refund.
Players who request withdrawal within 48 hours of the start of play, or who request withdrawal after the published close of registration and the published end of waitlist replacements, are not entitled to a refund.
