Wondering how many waitlist spots are projected to be let into the tournament, per division? Checking to see if I can jump up one or two divisions

We don’t expect to be making more spots available, but October is still a ways off and people’s lives/work schedules/etc. change all the time. So while I wouldn’t say NO hope of movement, just have that in mind. You could also re-register for the waitlist of your desired division without dropping out of your current spot. All waitlist spots will be fully refunded.

Michael Lewis    August 31, 2022 at 12:18pm

Just a post to say that a spot will open up in MP40 as I've withdrawn. Also to recommend anyone looking for a place to stay that I had the Springside Cottage booked that is now available at Bondi Cottage Resort, it sleeps 7 and is about $1000 for two nights.

Potentially silly question - I’m not yet a PDGA member. Am I able to sign up for the wait list (FA2) and only sign up for my PDGA membership for 2022 if I make the tournament? I don’t have any other tournaments lined up yet and wasn’t planning to register with PDGA until the 2023 season.

All great news! Am I able to register without entering a current PDGA number though?

Chelsea Pike   August 25, 2022 at 10:06pm

I tried and it didn’t let me so I’ll have to check back in October unless there’s a workaround

Austen Chyzyk   August 26, 2022 at 9:35pm

hi Chris. I was trying to add my wife and kids to the event as well but I will also have to wait until Oct 1? they also don't have a pdga num and will be looking to play in the junior divisions and fa3. will there be any exceptions to fa3 and junior divisions regarding the pdga number? thanks

Scott Cole    August 9, 2022 at 9:25am

What is withdrawl date? I might have a family event pop up that will make me miss it :( I will find out in two weeks,

Hi Scott, we're following the PDGA withdrawal guidelines: https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/103

Dylan Torrance    July 31, 2022 at 4:14pm

When will the unclaimed women's spots be filled by people on waitlists for other divisions? The about page says it should have happened over 2 weeks ago.

Spencer Young   July 31, 2022 at 5:36pm

Hey Dylan, this already has happened. All spots left for women are held to fill out a card. All of the divisions are now at their caps.

Dylan Torrance   August 8, 2022 at 12:39am

Are there not 18 slots being held for rec women?

Victoria Fenninger   August 9, 2022 at 7:38pm

*Disclaimer* I'm not officially invloved in this event in any capacity but I'm guessing you are looking at the 18 FA3 spots. They are in Pool B (being played at Limberlost). Pool B (MA3, FA3, MJ15, FJ15, MJ10, FJ10) isn't full yet: 46/72. So those 18 spots will not affect the Pool A w ... more

Hello. Wondering if there would be any camping available on the resort or somewhere nearby?

Mac young   July 11, 2022 at 7:08pm

Hello Paul there are lots of options in the area for camping. Bondi resort may have cabins left also limberlost. If not there is a few smaller campgrounds in the Dwight area.

Tobin Izatt   July 14, 2022 at 12:27am

Limberlost has camping and is also where a few divisions will be playing their rounds…I’d assume there’ll be a few players camping there.

Dan Gilbert    July 10, 2022 at 4:17am

As I promised, five from the Sixty and Hyzer registered. Three in the 70+ and two in the 60+ (but they are on a waitlist). Hope you can find room for them (maybe from the female 60 / 70 group vacancies?

We LOVE seeing the age-protected divisions fill up Dan!

Michael Boucher   July 14, 2022 at 11:34pm

Hope I make it in!

Dan Gilbert   July 15, 2022 at 10:35pm

One more Sixty & Hyzer member on waiting list for 60+, now six of our members hoping to participate!

Dylan Torrance    July 9, 2022 at 11:05pm

Just registered, then saw that I'm waitlisted. Why was I charged the whole entry fee if I'm on the waitlist? Maybe I haven't been around enough, but every tournament I've seen waitlist spots for the waitlist is 10$~ and you only pay the full registration if you actually get in...

Angelica Haggert   July 9, 2022 at 11:17pm

Hey Dylan, I believe it’s because there’s still technically spots left, and once our division caps lift a lot of shifting may happen. Rest assured if you don’t make it in you’ll receive the refund as per PDGA refund policies!

Spencer Young   July 9, 2022 at 11:20pm

Hey Dylan, with the waitlist we decided that it easier for us to promote players from the waitlist when they have paid in full instead of paying the normal $10 waitlist fee, it also insures players level of commitment to the event.

Dylan Bradshaw    July 9, 2022 at 4:55pm

Im trying to register but it force checked the hole sponsor button so doesn't let me complete it, is this cause of the spots being held to today?

Chris Ozolins   July 9, 2022 at 7:19pm

Hi Dylan… there were only sponsor spots available today, but they’ve since sold out. The remaining spots in each division will be released this evening.

Kyle McCutcheon    July 9, 2022 at 10:06am

I was unable to register for the division that my rating would most likely put me in to. Is there any way when more slots open up that I could be transferred to my preferred division?

Chris Ozolins   July 9, 2022 at 11:47am

Hi Kyle, your best bet is to try and register again this evening. We’re not able to move players between capped divisions as it would be an unfair advantage to register for a division that hadn’t filled last night, then move laterally into high-demand spot tonight.

Glen Zapreff    July 9, 2022 at 12:29am

I totally asked a random guy at work for his hotspot so I could register !
excited to play this one !

Chris Ozolins    July 9, 2022 at 12:05am

***HOLE SPONSOR SPOTS***
Our remaining 5 hole sponsor spots have been added back to the registration options. General registration will remain closed until July 9th at 7pm when the remaining 33% of each division will be released. If you wish to purchase one of the remaining hole sponsor spots, you may do so now.

I am currently signed in FA1, can I change it to FA2 please? If it’s not possible I will stay in FA1.

Fixed Ana! Also fixed your double reg.

Anamaria Goulet   July 8, 2022 at 11:38pm

Thank you.

Chris Ozolins    July 8, 2022 at 10:56pm

In lieu of the continued Rogers network outage, the tournament team have committed to reserve ~30% of our registration spots to be released at 7pm EST July 9th. This will afford those affected by the outage an opportunity to register while still making available a majority of our spots for those who may have budgeted their evenings for registration and may not be able to make the second registration "drop" tomorrow evening. We understand this is not a perfect solution, as there may not ... more

Will registration be postponed by a day or two considering half of the province is without access to internet? (province wide Rogers is down)

by the way its rogers outage, bell is working fine.

Chris Thompson   July 8, 2022 at 7:37pm

There are currently a lot of people with absolutely no access to data or wifi, meaning a lot of people have a very unfair disadvantage at getting registered tonight due to their carrier.

Angelica Haggert   July 8, 2022 at 10:52pm

We’ll be holding a small portion of spots to accommodate those without cell/wifi access. Full update coming shortly.

Dario Zgrablic    July 7, 2022 at 11:01pm

Are we not able to register without sponsoring a hole?

Angelica Haggert   July 7, 2022 at 11:09pm

general registration opens tomorrow!

Jeremy Roedde    July 7, 2022 at 3:01am

Can you clarify what the A pool will consist of? For example, will age protected divisions (such as MA40) be considered above or below the MA2/FA2.

Chris Ozolins   July 7, 2022 at 12:01pm

B Pool will consist of MA3, Fa3 and Jr. Divisions

Dan Gilbert    June 30, 2022 at 9:49pm

Thanks for including the 60+ and 70+ age protected divisions, Chris. Our 60 & Hyzer League will grabs many of those spots for sure!!! (As will Mike Renton, Laurie Dotto, and others...)

Tobin Izatt   July 1, 2022 at 3:29am

AWESOME!! Great to see the division securing and filling spots!!

Spencer Young   July 2, 2022 at 2:56am

Dan I am hoping to see all the Sixty and Hyzer club members out and hopefully we can fill those divisons!

Dan Gilbert   July 2, 2022 at 9:11pm

There are already three that I know of for the 70+ and Mike Renton will be four. In the 60+, I believe at least 4 will be registering.

It's actually "Wolf Tracks @ Bondi", not "Wolf Den", but that'll be corrected :)
