The Northern Ontario Championship

Welcome to the 2022 Northern Ontario Championship in Thunder Bay, ON!

With courses equally as breathtaking as they are challenging, Thunder Bay has been quietly developing into Ontario’s hidden disc golf treasure. With the completion of the mammoth course at Dragon Hills (co-designed by Cale Leiviska, Chris Wakefield and Michael Thompson) and support from the stunning Birch Point course at Boulevard Lake, Thunder Bay is ready to take a step forward and represent the true north strong and free with the Northern Ontario Disc Golf Championship.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:
The tournament will consist of one round per day for a total of three rounds (July 30 - August 1). We are planning to have two fundraiser flex events held prior to the official tournament rounds.

• Thursday July 28 - Fundraiser flex event
• Friday, July 29 - Fundraiser flex event
• Saturday, July 30 - Round 1 Dragon Hills
• Sunday, July 31 - Round 2 Bayview
• Monday, August 1 - Round 3 Birch Point


ONTARIO STAYCATION TAX CREDIT:
Take advantage of the new Ontario staycation tax credit! If you are an Ontario resident, you can claim 20% of your Days Inn accommodation expenses, and get this money back when you file your personal taxes for 2022.

If you’re thinking of flying, we recommend booking your flights soon before prices go up. Air Canada, Porter Airlines and WestJet offer fantastic options from all major cities across Canada.

CAR RENTALS:
Car rentals are also available at the YQT Thunder Bay International Airport.
