Staff
About this tournament
Registration is nearly full (1 spot left). We do have a waitlist and new players can sign up to fill any spots for people that registered without a partner. Anyone that does not have a partner will be matched with someone when registration closes on October 16th.
New teams can join the waitlist and will be accepted if anyone drops out.

Welcome to the 2nd annual Leaf Drop Doubles Disc Golf Tournament held at the Abbey Gardens Disc Golf Trail!
Registration includes:
• Your choice of premium custom Abbey Gardens stamped disc - design by Jon Brommet ($30 value) - you get to choose the disc mold during registration
• Abbey Gardens mini disc ($6 value)
• Play all day pass for Abbey Gardens ($11 value)
• Post round food: your choice of sandwich from the food hub (ham & cheese, egg salad, falafel), a drink and dessert - delivered right to the course! ($17 value)
• 1 raffle ticket for the post round prize draw ($3 value)
• Players pack full of fun goodies
This is an unsanctioned fun and family-friendly tournament for new players.
Kids of all ages and parents are both able to register to play (as a team, or separately).
Registration includes a custom disc, so even if you have never played and need a disc, we will have one waiting for you (along with other fun goodies!) with your players pack at check-in.
Registration includes a play-all-day pass to the course, so any registered participants are welcome to arrive early (check-in anytime after 8:30 am) to play morning or evening rounds before and/or after your tournament round!
If you are brand new to the sport, from 9:00 am and on we will have people on-site to teach the rules, and offer tips on how to throw, and play a few practice holes with anyone that comes early. Experienced players are welcome to come early to play a practice round or join the newcomers to share knowledge and help introduce new players to the sport!
To make a team both players need to register individually and list their team name and the person they would like to play with. This allows for individuals to register and be paired up with other individuals. Note that you can register before having a team name and partner and return to edit your registration anytime before it closes (2 days before the event).

The programming team are coordinating screenings in the community and tying it in with a program called Sprouts to Snacks, which brings vegetable gardening to the elementary schools to teach kids how to grow their own food.

FAQ
What if I’ve never played disc golf before?
Great. Learn to play with us! You can sign in early and get your player pack that includes your own disc to keep and a day pass to the course (along with other fun goodies!). We can give you a bit of instruction before you try a few holes or warm up at the practice basket. You can join the beginners tier, play from the short tees and try your best. This tournament was put together to introduce new players to the sport and the friendly disc golf community.
What if I’ve played before and wouldn’t consider myself a beginner?
Awesome! Bring your discs and talent to the novice or Intermediate division and play from the short or long tees against some other players near your skill level. Maybe even show up early and share some of your tips with our new players!
What if I’m a very talented and competitive disc golfer and the only reason I enter tournaments is to get first place?
This is not the tournament for you. Abbey Gardens Disc Golf Trail will hold more competitive tournaments for more highly ranked players in the future so keep an eye out for those and we will be happy to have you then. In the meantime, if you are willing to play a more recreational tournament on a beautiful course, share some of your experience and be a good representative of the fun, supportive disc golf community, we would love for you to sign up!
