About this tournament
NOTICE: I have created a tee-time format over two days. This will limit our contact AND impact on the park. Your tee time on Sunday will be based upon your standing within your division.
Every group will be given a bottle of bleach sanitizer spray for surfaces. Players are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer.
Masks are strongly recommended, and the state law of 10FT between players will be observed at all times. If I observe someone acting irresponsibly, I will not hesitate to eject you.
If you have Covid-19, or are exposed to Covid positive individuals, please do the right thing for our community and send a refund request to me.
Please arrive no more than 30 minutes before you tee time to help limit the number of people gathering. If you are standing around without a tee time or task, you will likely be asked to leave, or go somewhere until the time when it is appropriate.
I will call all three players from your card to check in 15 minutes before your tee time. Please do not be late for your tee times, and help us to facilitate the smoothest event possible.
Unfortunately, for our event to run safely: No Spectators, Caddies, pets, or family members allowed to participate.
Thanks for understanding as I work with PDGA, Parks, and Governor's orders.
After careful consideration, I believe that we can do this event safely and asynchronously and bring us all a sense of normalcy.
Altered Suds Brewery and Flying Lotus Disc Golf are excited to present to you: The Takeover at Spilman Park, Powered by Rickaroons, Driven by Innova. This sanctioned C-tier tournament features two rounds at the beautiful Spilman Park which features a number of incredible shots, designed by John Biscoe.
All amateurs will receive a generous player's pack as well as plastic and prize payouts. Pros will be paid out according to PDGA standards.
Players are required to sign waiver in updated registration page before they will be allowed to participate. Please use the original confirmation email from your registration OR go to registered players and choose you are registered option and click edit to opt in to the waiver. Physical waivers will be on site as a last resort option if you can not do it digitally.
Altered Suds Brewery has been so kind in sponsoring the tournament! They have great food and beer and they will be open both days of the weekend, they will be able accommodate up to 50 people outside on their patio. Please consider them as a great place to grab a cold one and a bite after your round! Try one of there signature Altered brews on tap or to take home!
You will be given a sealed box with your name on it AFTER YOUR ROUND containing your player’s pack.
Every amateur player’s pack will contain:
Innova disc with Flying Lotus 2020 Rasta Stamp
Custom Spilman x LAGO x Altered Suds Shirt
One Rickaroon (a healthy snack food, individually wrapped)
Certain players packs will have surprise bonus items or premium plastic. Chances of pulling a premium box are about 1:10.

Premium plastic
Mystery and collector plastic
Playing cards
Stickers
COVID-19 WAIVER: I understand that participation in this event carries with it risk of injury or death and I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, administrators, executors, and assigns expressly release, forever discharge, and hold harmless Culpeper County, The Flying Lotus Disc Golf, Matt Nolan and the PDGA (the "Releasees") for all personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death in connection with my participation in this event. Further, I understand and acknowledge that there currently exists a global pandemic associated with the disease COVID-19, that I am participating in this event at my own risk, that any safety precautions designed to protect against the spread of COVID-19 undertaken by the Releasees does not guarantee I will not contract COVID-19, and that, the foregoing notwithstanding, it is my specific intent to affirm my foregoing release of the Releasees with respect to any personal injury, loss, damage to property, or death I may experience from COVID-19 in connection with my participation in this event.
