Thank you to Aharon for running a great event for a great cause. This was a very smoothly run event and all the information we needed was very well-communicated. Great job, especially considering this was your first time as TD.

My son wants to play in the jr division. Can I sign up for one of the other divisions and still be able to walk with him? He is 10.

part of why I’m asking is because he’s never played in a tournament and has never practiced following all of the real rules exactly. I may just have to get a couple practice rounds in to teach him all the specifics

One option is to bring your son to The Thursday Warriors league at Sun Ray this Thursday afternoon. It is a very beginner friendly doubles league and is free for first timers. There are no cash prizes, so people are just there for fun and don’t get too overly competitive. It will give him an opportunity to play the course with others in a scored round, but without the pressure of the tournament.

I’ve never seen this format so can I get some help? Is it basically two different tourneys in one day, with two separate winning groups (day and night) or will it be one big tourney and people who do the day and night will be ranked at the end of the evening?

I am waiting on clarification from the PDGA regarding if the scores will be combined on their end or if it will stay separate.

After speaking with the PDGA, they confirmed that "officially" this is one tournament and the day round and night rounds are just tee times. So as far as round ratings go, all participants will be competing with all others in their division regardless of tee time. Nevertheless, when it com ... more

Hi Gerald. It shouldn’t require a paypal account to register. Once you click “check out with PayPal” it gives you the option to enter credit/debit card info without needing to create a PayPal account. Please let me know if that works for you. If not, we will figure out alternative payment options.
