About this tournament
Welcome to the first-ever Five Dollar Flight!
Join us for one of the most affordable sanctioned tournaments in the Midwest! This one-round, amateur PDGA C-Tier event features tee times and takes place at Jacket Woods at Defiance College, one of Northwest Ohio’s finest disc golf courses.
Whether you're a new player looking to experience a tournament atmosphere without breaking the bank or a seasoned vet who loves to compete with no need for another player’s pack, this event is for you!
A framed, custom $5 bill trophy will be awarded to the champion in each mixed division.
Tee times will start at 9:00 AM, with groups teeing off every 15 minutes. Pairings will be determined based on your current PDGA rating. Here are the estimated tee times depending on your division.
9:00 AM to 9:45 AM - MA4
10:00 AM to 10:45 AM - MA3
11:00 AM to 11:45 AM - MA2
Noon to 12:45 PM - MA40
1:00 PM to 1:45 PM - MA1
These times are likely to change based on the number of registered players. Final tee times will be posted by 1:00 PM on the Saturday before the event.
The event’s layout will use a mix of tee and basket locations, creating a challenging and exciting 5,025-foot, par-59 course that showcases some of the best features of Jacket Woods.
1 - College Tee to Yellow Basket, 275ft, Par 3 (OB: Road & Beyond, Parking Lot.)
2 - Pro Tee to White Basket, 514ft, Par 4 (Mandatory: Left of tree. If missed, proceed to College Tee. Casual relief from creek.)
3 - College Tee to Yellow Basket, 195ft, Par 3 (OB: Fence & Beyond. Mandatory: Between two trees. If missed, proceed to Drop Zone.)
4 - College Tee to Yellow Basket, 201ft, Par 3 (OB: Pond. If OB, proceed to Drop Zone.)
5 - College Tee to White Basket, 297ft, Par 3
6 - Pro Tee to White Basket, 305ft, Par 3 (OB: Woods, Sidewalk & Beyond. If OB, proceed to Drop Zone.)
7 - College Tee to Yellow Basket, 246ft, Par 3 (OB: Sidewalk & Beyond.)

In the event of a tie, a sudden-death playoff will take place on holes 1, 10, and 18, repeating until a winner is determined.
Players are welcome to warm up on Permanent Hole 19 or in the open area behind Pilgrim Library before their round.
