The Donnybrook V - Modified Stableford Scoring
Follow this tournament
About this tournament
It's 2025 and it's time to mix things up. In this two-round, ace run event, the HIGHEST SCORE wins!
Come to Bull Run and play two rounds of white tees to white baskets (par 55), using a Modified Stableford Scoring system that rewards aggressive play. This tournament will not be rated, so there's absolutely no reason to play it safe. If you need additional motivation to go for glory, there will be a $10/player ace pot (optional buy-in).
With Modified Stableford Scoring, you earn points based on the number of strokes you need to finish a hole, and the winner is the player with the most points.
Albatross: 12 points (3 under par)
Eagle: 9 points (2 under par)
Birdie: 6 points (1 under par)
Par: 4 points (par)
Bogey: 3 points (1 over par)
Double Bogey: 1 point (2 over par)
Note that if you've reached a double bogey and haven't completed the hole, you score 1 point and move on to the next hole. You do not have to keep throwing until the hole is completed.
Example: A bogey-free round where you have eight birdies for a -8 in stroke play is 10 pars @ 4 = 40 + 8 birdies @ 6 = 48 = 88 total points.
Lunch will be served between rounds, and there will be a player's party after awards are distributed, location TBD.
