The Donkey's Denvitational presented by WC Glow

Food options: There are plenty of fast food, carry out, and delivery options within a mile or two from my house BUT we will also be having a potluck style lunch available for anyone interested in participating. Parking - Please carpool with others if possible. I have limited parking at my house so the more people that can carpool the better.

If you know that you will be unable to attend this event it would be greatly appreciated if you let me know ASAP so I can open up the invitation list to others that are interested.

Big thank you to everyone that came out yesterday to help make the first ever Denvitational and huge success!!! Thank you everyone that helped with reg, getting food around, and all the other misc things that needed to be done. Huge shout out to Scott Sprow for helping out all day and providing the support of WC Glow, Bo Fought for creating an amazing tournament logo, and T-Pills for creating an awesome event trophy. The big winners on the day were Jub Jub and Big-C shooting a -16 on the day, nice shooting guys!!!!

Scores have all been posted, please let me know if you see any mistakes. I noticed while entering scores that there were no ties on the day which I thought what kind of funny.

Finalized Layout and Team/Course Assignment Plans

During check-in each player will draw a poker chip with a number 1-24. Players will be paired up with the person that draws the chip next to them starting at 1&2, 3&4, ect... Players drawing chips 1-12 will play their first round at The Den while players drawing chips 13-24 will play their first round at BRATS. Each team will get a scorecard and map of both courses.

The Den
-- Playing all 18 holes with everyone starting on hole one
-- This will be a MOB group of 12 players so we will want to be mindful of keeping a good pace of play
-- Keep in mind that at The Den there are 4 different times where you will be playing 2 holes at the same time. Anyone that has played there before knows how this works but for the newbies you will be throwing a drive from one tee pad and then after everyone finishes their drives on that tee pad you will throw a drive from another tee pad BEFORE finishing out the first hole.

BRATS
-- One 9-hole round from Whites and another 9-hole round from Blue. We will play Whites first followed by Blues.
-- At BRATS we will break up into 3 groups of 4
-- First round: Groups will be decided by the poker chips you drew at check-in
-- Second round: Groups will be decided by first round scores
-- We will be doing a stagger start with all three groups starting on hole 1 of the White course
-- PLEASE use spotters at BRATS where needed, I will give everyone a reminder of this during the players meeting

Can the course record be broken at The Den this weekend? I have decided to put a bounty on the course record this weekend which sits at 41 (-13) currently held by Myself and Nick P. Anyone that beats the course record will get a disc of their choice during payouts.

As of right now the weather is looking great so lets hope it stays that way. Couple quick reminders, PLEASE read the two sticky posts on this board about parking and food. If anyone needs my address please send me a PM or text as I would like to avoid posting my address on The Scene.

A spot has opened up, if you are on the invite list and would like to attend but have not registered please let me know ASAP. Also if you are on the registration list and can no longer attend please let me know sooner than later.

IF we end up with an odd number we will ask for volunteers to play Cali and those volunteers will flip for Cali. If we have no volunteers I will play Cali to avoid someone else being forced into it, this is the most fair option I can think of at this time as there is no way to guarantee an even number.

If you are not currently on the registration list but would like to attend please continue to let me know as I would not be surprised if we end up with a couple open spots through people having to drop. I know we currently have two registered players who's June 10th freedom is now in jeopardy due to work or wife.

There is just over a week left until The Denvitational and 2 open spots remain so please RSVP as soon as possible if you have not already done so. Next week I will be opening up registration to people that are not on the invitation list but have inquired about attending the event. Also if you have signed up but now believe you will not be making it PLEASE let me know as I would like to fill all spots and avoid last minute cancellations which could force an unfortunate Cali.
