Hey Do you know if ma1 will have the chance to play this layout? Thanks

Brady Malston   July 31, 2020 at 1:39am

Dylan and I decided that we will have a final 9 for top 4 of MA1 on this layout, yes. So it would depend on your play but the chance is there.

Cody Humphrey   July 31, 2020 at 1:54am

Thanks guys! Can’t wait this is gonna be epic!!

Jesse Kasmiskie    July 29, 2020 at 7:04pm

Is anybody coming down from Anchorage Saturday morning? I have a flight that gets in Friday night at 1130 but wouldn't be able to get a flight to Kenai before 930. I would be willing to pay for gas!

For those of you who haven't registered for this event or may be on the fence (haven't played it yet, it's a golf course and I don't have a big arm...) I'd encourage you to do so. This course is on a beautiful property and is super FUN to play for all levels of ability. I think this is one weekend you won't want to miss out on. : )

Thumb up boydo

Brady Malston   July 29, 2020 at 4:01am

Thank you Boyd! I’m excited to have you down here for the weekend. Let me know if you need anything!

Jonas Moser    July 28, 2020 at 3:27am

Hey Brady do the pros get the players pack for registering aswell? Or just Ams ?

Brady Malston   July 28, 2020 at 4:30am

Ams only. All of the money pros are paying is going into the pro purse except for a small greens fee and the mandatory PDGA player fee. *Edited for Clarity*

Jonas Moser   July 28, 2020 at 6:31pm

Thanks Brady.

Brady Malston   July 28, 2020 at 6:41pm

No problem Jonas! I hope you enjoy this weekend and let me know if you have any more questions!

Are there places to set up a tent at the course?

Brady Malston   July 28, 2020 at 2:37am

Negative. There is an RV/Camper spot or two without water/electricity but no tents. Centennial park is about a five minute drive from the course and is a good campground.

Brady Malston    July 27, 2020 at 11:19pm

Check in and players pack pick up may be done during the BYOP doubles event Friday night or before your tee time on Saturday. Check in will be at the Pro Shop located on site. Player's meetings will be held per card 10 minutes before their allotted tee off time.

Due to COVID, Prodigy and all disc manufacturers have seen an extreme uptick in purchases. I was just informed that Prodigy is out of Practice Bags, so we have substituted the bag with a hat, an upgrade to the disc plastics being ordered and a few extra items like a buy one get one free round at Birch Ridge and more. The monetary value of the player pack actually goes up slightly from this change but I am still disappointed in it as those practice bags are really awesome. In order to maintain fu ... more

We will have two layouts in play for this tournament, Mains and Tips. They will both be laid out the Thursday before the event. Mains are in the ground now and are what you play every day and during league rounds currently. Tips may go in before Thursday but it is not certain at this point, I will keep people updated on this.

Pool A will be playing Tips, Main, Tips.
Pool B will be playing Mains, Mains, Tips.
Pool C will be playing Mains, Mains, Mains.

Update for practice rounds: All practice rounds played on Thursday and Friday are free if you are registered for the tournament. Carts available for purchase. Due to the high volume of players that will be practicing it is recommended to call ahead for a tee time for practice rounds, however it may not be necessary. If you show up ready to play it is likely they will be able to give you a reasonable time to tee off, however it can’t be promised so calling is safer. Feel free to ask any questions you may have!

Have you finalized the layouts that each division will be playing?

Brady Malston   July 23, 2020 at 12:00am

Yes. I will update that in the main post now, my apologies.

Brady Malston    July 13, 2020 at 9:28pm

I am very sad to announce that Kevin Jones and I have reached the decision that with the conditions of travel right now due to COVID-19 he will not be making the trip to Alaska this year. While it would have been a blessing to have Kevin here with us for the week, it is not worth putting his following events in jeopardy due to the uncertainty that COVID-19 is bringing on the travel and health sectors. We are going to make every attempt to get him up next year and hopefully he can bring some prof ... more
