2017 Bad Monkey!
This will once again be a PDGA sanctioned 'B' Tier tournament at Leverich Park in Vancouver, Washington. The event will run with two flights of Amateur ONLY. Each player will play two rounds on Saturday and one round on Sunday. We have some great sponsors lined up to make this year's event amazing. All player fees will go to the rental of the park, pdga fees, trophies, other expenses. After we pay the bills the remainder will go towards the player's pack. Our sponsors will be providing coffee and snacks in the mornings, a player's party Saturday evening at Latte Da and lunch on Sunday. This event is "trophy-only" and no scrip or payout will be given. or prizes to any players. Trophies will go to the top finisher in each division and the top 3 places in each division with more than 12 players. We will also have a prize drawing at the end of the weekend where we'll give out some fun prizes. We will also be giving away gift certificates to a local merchant for any Aces that are made during tournament play.
We are still finalizing the player's pack but your entry fee will not only allow you to play three rounds on the exclusive Bad Monkey layout at Leverich Park, but will include lunch on Sunday, at least one disc, a hoodie, mini, and more. Many of the player's last year said that the player's party at Latte Da on Saturday was the highlight of the weekend for them. We had a putting contest and a trivia challenge and gave out some more fun prizes. Please plan to join us Saturday and we'll buy you your first drink.
Any proceeds from this year's event will go to the Parks Foundation of Clark County which is helping us raise funds for the next disc golf course in Clark County. We have been actively working through the permitting process on a couple of possible sites including Frenchman's bar and Hockinson Meadows.
Don't forget to bring your lawn chair. One of the favorite activities of this event is hanging out between rounds and watching the other pool throw, with a cool (non-alcoholic) beverage in your hand and catching up with other players.
We have included an option to sponsor a hole at the Bad Monkey. The cost is only $25 and we'll put your company logo on the tee sign and thank you in the Player's Guide and at the Player's Meetings. You can also choose to make a donation to the Parks Foundation of Clark County, which will go directly into the disc golf fund for use at Leverich and Hockinson Parks as needed.
