The 43rd CW Open is almost here. With that, I would like to give a brief update on a late issue that may affect who is running the show.

On Monday, my wife suffered a stroke and has been hospitalized ever since. The earliest she may be discharged out of the hospital is Thursday. Though this is a huge tournament that always has a great turnout, I have to prioritize family first over this. The layout for the 43rd CW Open is getting an overhaul. Gone are most of the monotonous shots over the dry creek bed. The new layout will now have a couple bomber holes, one with a tight landing space, and another hole with a pond carry. Some technical shots have also been thrown into the mix of what will now be a 20 hole layout.

I plan to include some reviews of at least the new holes to the layout on the Conrad Weiser Wants Disc Golf Facebook group page before the event. A map will also ... more
