About this tournament
2 rounds of play
The Pine Lake Open, now known as PUNDERSTRUCK makes its return for 2022 with a new name and some minor changes, but the same brutal round format for those who are brave enough for the challenge!!!
This round will feature two rounds of Blue Tees over two days, with Saturday being a Blues to Longs Round, followed by a Blues to Shorts round on Sunday. All divisions will play the same format with the exception of the Gold #3 Tee (Platform) being in play on Saturday for all Open and MA1 divisions. Other divisions can also play the Gold Tee if there is group consensus. This will need to be declared before the start of the event.
There will be no Player's Pack for this event. Keeping the cost low and higher payouts have always been the goal of this event. Of the entries for each group, the fee breakdown is below:
All Open Divisions -- $40 entry with $35 to payouts and $5 to cover event expenses (includes PDGA fees, insurance, sanctioning, etc.)
All Amateur Divisions -- $30 entry with $23 to payouts and $7 to cover event expenses and CTP prizes.
There will be no Ace Fund for this event. In lieu of that, each day will offer a $3 CTP buy in that will split in 1/3 and paid out to those eligible using holes 11, 14, and 17 as the CTP holes. There will also be Amateur Division CTPs in play each day on holes 4 and 13.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT PLAYS THE LONGEST AND MOST DIFFICULT LAYOUTS PUNDERSON HAS TO OFFER. SO THE OFFERED DIVSIONS ARE BASED ON THE EXPECTATION THAT MORE EXPERIENCED PLAYERS WILL PLAY THIS EVENT. Offered divisions will most likely not be changed unless demand dictates otherwise.
Tournament Headquarters will be at the course for both days. This includes the pre-round Player's Meetings and Awards / Payouts.
Event OBs and rules will be posted in the "Comments" section in the coming weeks and will also be provided to players for each round.
