Tennessee Amateur Match Play

Welcome to the Tennessee Amateur Match Play Championship hosted by ParkIt Disc Golf. Players will be participating in a series of 1 on 1 match play holes. This is an amateur event and all payouts will be in merchandise provided by ParkIt Disc Golf

This is a 2 round, 32 person, match play tournament hosted at the Spartan Summit course in Sparta TN. This is a single elimination bracket but each player is guaranteed to play 21 holes. All players will receive a custom event stamped disc just for participating.

2 Pools.
A pool- Players rated above 900
B pool- Players rated below 900

First round all players will play 3, 7 hole matches.
The semi finals and finals will be 9 hole matches.

Round 1 format
Each card will be made up of a 4 man card, players A, B, C, D and they will play 21 holes. Only 1 player from each 4-man card will progress to the semi finals.
1st 7 holes match up- Player A vs Player B, Player C vs Player D
2nd 7 holes match up - Player A vs Player C, Player B vs Player D
3rd 7 holes match up - Player A vs Player D, Player B vs Player C

Players will get 1 point for winning a match up and half a point for ties. Any ties after the first round, will be decided with a sudden death play off

Round 2 Format
4 players will move on to the semi finals. They will play 9 hole matches. Winners will play the remaining 9 holes to decide the champion.
