SuperFly Youth Disc Golf Camp
Each entry includes:
- 5 days of camp (morning or afternoon)
- 3 discs (Driver, Midrange, Putter)
Optional Add ons
- Disc Golf bag + Towel + Mini
- SuperFly DG shirt
- Hot Dog Lunch
Disc golf is just what it sounds like - it’s golf played with discs, which are special frisbees designed to fly a certain way. Disc golf is a cheap alternative to traditional golf. Discs are $10-$30 and you can play with just one or bring as many as you’d like. Most courses are free to play and there are thousands across the world.
Each child will learn the basics of an incredibly fun lifetime sport.
Here are some benefits of disc golf:
- Like golf, kids will have to use a combination of physical and mental skills to be successful. Youth players will be taught not only the physical skills to play but also breathing and focus techniques.
- Golf is a game of self-competition focused on respect and honesty amongst players. Students will be taught the importance of integrity and determination. Setting goals and having a plan are keys for success in golf as well as in life.
- Unlike regular frisbees, disc golf discs are designed specifically for certain shot shapes: turning one way or fading the other. Kids will learn about the science and technology that goes into the design and flight patterns of the discs. They will also learn about the affect of wind on a discs flight.
Parents are welcome to stay and watch from the parking lot above the practice area or they can drop off and pick up.
