Sunstein LLP, Greatest Media Team, Disc Golf 978, and NEFA are teaming together to host the 2025 Sunstein Open at 501 Disc Golf Course and Mile Marker 63, in Central Mass. These are some of the best courses in the world, and we're happy to be hosting this monumental tourney all three days offering more divisions and some tee times for the first time ever!

This Amateur Tournament will be held on its traditional Memorial Day weekend dates: May 25-26, 2025.

Amateurs

All Amateurs will play one round at Mile Marker 63 on Sunday with Tee Times, and one round at 501 on Monday with Tee Times.

Layouts: for All Am Divisions

Mile Marker 63: Sunday Longs for MA1, MA40, MA2. All Other Divisions will play
Shorts.

501 Disc Golf: Monday Blue to Blue for MA1, MA40. May the 4's be with you for All
Other AMs (except for FA3, and MA4 who will be playing Green to Green). A custom
shorter "whites" layout will be available for FA4 players at 501 Disc Golf.

Players Pack for Amateurs will include a disc, sunstein towel, hat powered by Disc golf 978 and First Available Print. Payouts will be handled electronically by Disc Golf 978 and given credit to the discgolf978.com website.

There will be special CTP prizes for all divisions on Day 2. If you are the last card for your division please make sure to bring in the CTP flags.

Sunstein Series is Back!! Similar to past few Sunstein Open events, this tournament is a 2X multiplier for the Sunstein Series, increasing your chances to getting into the Grand Prix being held October 25, and 26th at Maple Hill. Not only that but, the MA1, FA1 winners of this tourney will automatically qualify and be invited as a registrant to the Massachusetts Grand Prix.

Meeting notes will be emailed day prior along with tentative starting holes.

PDGA Electronic Scoring will be used (email will be sent week of for access details and course rules). Everyone MUST keep score!

All PDGA Rules in Effect
All OB will be Observed
If in doubt, Take A Provisional!


Award ceremony for podium finishers to immediately follow conclusion of play at 501. So feel free to stay around and watch them get showered with champagne and flowers!

We will make use of the PDGA live scoring. Cards will shuffle between rounds one and two based on place. An announcement will be made by email and on the tournament FB page to indicate round 2 start time. Hole assignments will be updated on the PDGA tournament site at least 12 hrs before tee times start before round 1, and before round 2.

Payouts for Ams will be processed and handled by Disc Golf 978. Top 45% will be paid out.

$10 of each registration is NOT refundable. If the event is cancelled due to local, state, or federal emergency requirements, $10 of each registration will not be refunded to cover event set-up costs.
