Welcome back for the 2023 Sunstein Open at 501 Disc Golf Course, in Warren MA!
Similar to last this year we will have different divisions playing over the 3 day Memorial Day weekend (May 27-29), at the beautiful 501 Disc Golf Course. One big change this year will be that the Ladies Day is Saturday, Men's Amateur Day will be Sunday, and MPO will be Monday! Everyone will be playing at least 18 holes.

Schedule is as Follows:
1) Saturday May 27th - Ladies Divisions
2) Sunday May 28th - Mens Am Divisions
3) Monday May 29th - MPO Division
Sunstein Grand Prix Finale Players are automatically awarded an invite and have been added as registrants to the tourney.
Layouts: for FPO Divisions, FA1, FA2, FA3, FA40
1st Round Blue Odds / Greens Evens
2nd Round Greens (5500' par 54)
Layout for FA4 Divisons
Modified Shorter Greens Layout (Shorter Hole 2, 4, 5, 9, 12, 13, 18)
This will be a Shotgun B Tier, Shotgun Start tourney playing 2 different layouts.
No Players Meeting will be held. Meeting notes will be emailed day prior along with tentative starting holes.
PDGA Electronic Scoring will be used (email will be sent week of for access details and course rules)
No 2 Meter Rule in Effect
Pros Playing for Cash Winnings (PayPal)
All OB will be Observed
If in doubt, Take A Provisional!
Preliminary schedule:
8:00 AM - Registration opens
8:55 AM - Check In cutoff. If not checked in, will be declared a NO SHOW
9:15 AM - Round 1
12:00 PM - Lunch (On your own, quick turnaround, will end no later than 45 minutes after last card)
1:30 PM - Round 2
4:45 PM - Awards/Refreshments by Bent Water Brewing Company & Sunstein!
All Ams will receive Player Pack, and Top 45% of Winning Players will receive Disc Golf 978 Store Credit! Credit is good for life, and can be redeemed in person that day since Disc Golf 978 will be at the event, or via the web.
We do plan to have some sorta of award ceremony for podium finishes so feel free to stay around and watch them get showered with champagne and flowers!

We will make use of the PDGA live scoring. Cards will shuffle between rounds one and two based on place. An announcement will be made by email and on the tournament FB page to indicate round 2 start time. Hole assignments will be updated on the PDGA tournament site.

The Massachusetts Grand Prix will take place on October 21st at the world's number one rated disc golf course, Maple Hill.
Similar to last year the Massachusetts Grand Prix will be a finale based event where thirty-two total invites will be sent, and Sunstein LLP is guaranteeing a minimum of $1000 cash to be added to the pro player purse.
Since this a is point series, even though the events offer different divisions to encourage sign ups, we are only crowning 1 MA and 1 FA1 winner. There will be one winner in each of the MPO, FPO, MA1, and FA1 divisions in a stroke play event. The winner of the MA1 division will receive a championship belt, meanwhile FA1 will receive a special glass trophy, signifying their status as the 2021 champion amateur golfer of Massachusetts.
