About this tournament
2 rounds of play
The Sunny Lake Open is Sunny Lake's first sanctioned tournament held by Aurora Flying Disc Society. The tournament will consist of 2 rounds with 2 different layouts. AMs Payouts and Player's Packs will be expertly handled by TCDGA. Players pack will be a merchandise voucher to be used during payouts.
With money from the NEO Frozen Fingers grant, AFDS has purchased new basket collars to create alternate pin locations on some holes.
Tournament headquarters will be at the large pavilion on the North side of the lake. Parking may be limited on the north side, as the park is a popular recreation destination during the weekends. So please plan to arrive early, carpooling, or be aware you may need to park on the south side and walk. Consider coordinating with other players to park at the south end and arrive at the north end in one car.
Detailed course layout information available in the 'pictures' tab. Included are images of the scorecards for Open, MA1, and the age protected divisions, and for women's, MA2 and MA3 divisions. Each image has additional layout details in the caption. Please also refer to the maps included in the 'pictures' tab.

If you want to practice the course beforehand, we recommend using the UDisc app. The White Course and the Blue/Gold Course layouts are both mapped through the app--this will help with navigation.
Day of the tournament signs, flags and painted directional arrows will be used to make navigation simple.
Birdie Blitz - AFDS will choose 5 holes at the beginning of each round. Anybody that birdies ALL 5 CHOSEN HOLES will split the pot. You get a chance for each round, however, you can only win once. Example, if you don't birdie all 5 designated holes in the first round, you will still have a chance to get your 5 birdies on the second round, but the chosen holes may change between rounds. It will be $4 to participate.
