Sunflower Open

Welcome to the inaugural Sunflower Open at The Beast on Honey Hill! Please show your thanks to Cam and Hayden Byrd for all their hard work and dedication to disc golf! They have built something special for us all, so please help make our time at the Beast as smooth & clean as possible. All PDGA Rules & Guidelines are in place during both rounds of play. All participants in attendance must present themselves professionally and responsibly.

The Sunflower Open will be paying out top Amateur finishers in Teddy Peddler Dollhairs redeemable at The Disc Golf Pro Shop all season long. There will be a limited selection of merchandise on site for the event. Teddy Peddler Dollhairs are redeemable for merchandise purchases for the remainder of the 2022 season. (EXP January 1st 2023) Pros can choose to be paid out via Check or PayPal.

Weekend Itinerary
Early Check in: Saturday July 2nd from 12pm-6pm @ The Teddy Peddler Disc Golf Pro Shop.

Day of Check in: Sunday, July 3rd, 8:30am-9:15am @ The Beast on Honey Hill.

Short Player Meeting 9:25am

Round 1 Start Time 9:45am

Round 2 Start Time ESTIMATED 30-45 min after last card

Lunch will be provided to all players.

Early Check In
Check in early for the weekend event and receive your player gift and tournament information. Early check in will be held at The Teddy Peddler Disc Golf Pro Shop on Saturday July 2nd from 12pm to 6pm.

NOTE: Players not checked in by Sunday morning at 9:15AM will forfeit their spot to a waitlisted player.

Players will have an estimated 30-45 min after the last card for lunch.
PDGA Live Scoring will have all course rules and hole guidelines uploaded for easy reference.

A paper scorecard can be acquired at Tournament Central if needed, ALL groups are REQUIRED to keep score via the PDGA online scorecard and a paper card or UDisc as a second card. Both cards should match!! ACCOUNTABILITY!!
Top 3 in each AM division paid out.
Top 3 in each division receive trophies.

Ace Pot - $5 Entry
If the ace pot is not hit, it will carry over to the next event.

Hole 8: Outside of designated fairway defined by flags OB.
Hole 9: Water and outside of designated fairway defined by flags OB. Mando and left. Lie plays from Drop Zone. 234’ to water. 364’ to carry.
Hole 10: Right and beyond defined by flags OB.
Hole 11: No OB.

Welcome to the inaugural sunflower open!

Can you think of a more magical moment than playing disc golf through a field of sunflowers in full bloom!?!

This PDGA C Tier event will consist of two rounds on a 20 hole layout and is open to all players.

Each registered player will receive a player gift/gifts in the value of $35.00/$40.00
1st-3rd place of each division will be paid out in Teddy Peddler Doll Hairs.
Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers of each division.

Food will be provided for all registered players.

The sunflower open will take the place of the first canceled Arrowhead event in the 2022 Inside the Circle Tournament Point Series. NOTE Because this event falls on a different day than the original event date, players will not be penalized for missing this event and will still be eligible for their 10-point series bonus.

For 2022 some important changes have been made to the series structure to take note of.

This year only five divisions will be eligible for points and the series championship prize payout. MPO MA1 MA40 MA2 FA1
The point series is an incentive to players to "play up" and aspire to aways compete at the highest level.

NOTE A full spread of divisions will be offered at each event but only the ones listed above will be eligible for series points throughout the 2022 season.

The top 3 finishers of each division will receive a series payout in Teddy Peddler Doll Hairs,

Series champions will also receive 1 PAID ENTRY FEE TO THE 2022 Myrtle Beach Open Presented by US Disc Golf and the 2022 Inside the Circle Championship trophy.

Welcome to the 2022 Inside the Circle Tournmant Point series, The road to the MBO!!

NOTE Point Series is at no added cost to participants, the series is an added bonus just for showing up to play.

Preliminary Event Points. (7 Events)
- Each player will receive 1 point for competing in that tournament.
- Player will receive 1 point for every player that they beat for that tournament on a per division basis.

Championship Event Points. (1 Event)
- Each player will receive 1 point for competing in that tournament.
- Player will receive 1 point for every player that they beat for that tournament on a per division basis,
- Players that compete in all 7 events will also receive an extra 10 points

Points DO NOT transfer divisions
